Official Panthers - Saints Gameday Thread

Recommended Posts

Today the Panthers have a chance to take control of the NFC South and clinch their first playoff birth since 2008.

After their shellacking 2 weeks ago in New Orleans, the Panthers are primed for revenge. The Saints are 3-4 on the road this season and very beatable.

When: 1:00

Where: Bank of America Stadium

TV: FOX

Radio: 1110 WBT

Twitter: Follow @CarolinaHuddle for tweets from the sidelines.

Keys to a Panthers victory:

- Long sustained rushing drives featuring Mike Tolbert.

- Win the turnover battle. The field and ball will be wet, a good opportunity for a hungry defense.

- Get physical. The Saints lose their luster in matches that take a more physical tone. Speed is their game, not toughness.

Prediction:

Panthers 24

Saints 13

    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
    • I'd give anything to go back to a 4-3 but we are so removed from having the pieces for that. All because Tepper wanted to force this 3-4 on all our coaches.
