Who to resign?

Who do we need to resign to stay successful and to continue to get key players?

I know we all love Hardy but we cannot tie that much money up into a guy right around the time we need to sign Cam. My short list.

1. Mike Mitchell -best safety on the team and shows why Godfrey should've been a back up all along.

2. Captain Munnerlyn- if we get a legit number 2 corner then Munnerlyn needs to stay. His play says it all( that long ball to Boldin was a blown coverage)

3. Jordan Gross-duh

4. Colin Cole

5. Ted Ginn

Ginn, Mitchell, Mikell, Colin, Lafell only if he takes 2nd to 3rd WR money (he's a great blocking WR), Gross of course.....Just think we'll have some more cap open with cutting Godfrey or having him restructure.....We won't get Hardy back which sucks..but our coaches can develop guys....he was a 6th round pick....we can develop the guys behind him to fill the gaps not produce as much as him but will produce...maybe not the number 1 or 2 def next year but for sure top 5 still if we lose hardy.....KEEP POUNDING!

Hardy is not priority unless he takes a SERIOUS discount for us (doubt he will).

Getting Cam locked up may be important here. I know we don't HAVE to for a year, but doing it before we need to is important to morale there.

Mitchell, obviously.

Gross, but get his successor in the draft.

Ginn, duh.

Lester because he's a ball-hawk who has tremendous upside with more coaching and experience.

Mikell, because we need him until Lester is ready to roll as the full-time starter.

Its not like were gonna use that potential Hardy money on anyone else this season.

Unless we sign Eric Decker or someone that is on the same level as hardy. Why the fug not ball out? JR is a not a millionare but a BILLLYYYYY

I don't get the huddle logic of letting someone like that go. Our team will only drop down next year. Johnson is aging..

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
