Bryon bell...the future LT smfh

I open to it.  The coaches staff thinks it's possible.  Jordan Gross spoke very highly of Bell and talked about how talented he was.  Bell played LT in college.  Last year was only his 2nd season and by all accounts he improved quite a bit from his rookie season to this past season.

I know this is hard to belive but guys do develop and get better.  The coaching staff actually does want us to win.  I have no problem seeing what he can do at LT but I wouldn't leave the cupboard bare in case he can't.

As a coach, you have to say things like this to motivate players on the roster to keep working harder. He needs to make Byron Bell and other guys on the roster believe that they can be a starter. Hell, maybe an All-Pro. He knows a fug ton more than any of us do about Byron Bell's ability and potential; it would be a damn shame if our coach didn't say "the answer might be on our roster." And as fans, we should hope that the solution(s) come from the hard work of guys already on our roster and the hard work of our coaches making them better. I'm not saying Byron Bell is the answer, I'm just saying that our coach better make Byron Bell believe that he can be the answer...and better not leave agents with the belief that we don't feel like we have a single option on our current roster.

If Byron Bell lines up at LT next year, I'm gonna be all...

    • The same folks crying about the OL right now were crying about it in 2023 too. We have tied up over 100 million dollars in two interior olinemen alone. We've invested multiple first and second round picks in the offense. We hired an offensive minded head coach. This is an offensive team. The offense needs to produce or people need to be replaced.
    • This is the same place that has ridiculed and blasted Caleb Williams at every opportunity he has his team sitting at 10-4 in the same NFC that the Panthers are competing in. And their division in the NFC North is as or more competitive as our division. Yet from the same people who have very high standards for Williams we get every excuse imaginable for the smallest starting QB in the league even when he and his team continue to disappoint when the pressure is on. You lot aren't any less inconsistent than anyone else.
    • The Panthers are 9th in cap spent on offense this year.  However next season is already a different story  The Panthers as it stands right now will be 18th in cap spent on offense and 8th in cap spent on defense  The Panthers are currently set to spend more on defense next year than they are on offense this season Guys like Jaycee and Moehrig cap numbers take a big jump. Wharton has a massive cap hit   Jaycee Moehrig and Wharton in 2025 The same 3 in 2026 So this same defense as it stands right now will cost more in 2026 than this offense does right now… Got anything else you want to try?
