Ware signs with Broncos

Agree, but you can't deny it's something Manning is known for. Defining TD in his second SB was to Tracy Porter. Look at his overall history in the postseason.

Oh for sure, I'm just saying that last year's Super Bowl was completely on the team.  I'm pretty sure the water boy spilled all the Gatorade and the towel boy forgot to get the towels out of the dryer.  Everyone choked.

Not gonna help. The Broncos problem is that Manning is completely ill equipped to deal with fast, physically defenses anymore, and that just so happens to be what the top NFC teams all have. I could see them being the Bills of the 90s, making it to the Super Bowl for the AFC regularly and getting their asses kicked.

They had a decent defense already last year had it not been for a ton of injuries that no one seemed to talk about.

They'll be a good team again. Not sure how they'll do if they meet the Seahawks again, but the AFC barring significant changes is led by Patriots, Chiefs, Chargers, Ravens, etc and Manning has done rather well against those teams the past two seasons.

They're obviously in a situation where it's now or never.

Even if they can't top the NFC, there is a ton of money in making the playoffs, going to the Super Bowl, having an all star team, etc. Those home playoff games make millions of dollars.

Seahawks lost some key pieces and I really don't see their offense being able to score at will against this upgraded Broncos defense. I think it would be an interesting Super Bowl rematch, but one that I'd hate to see. I'd love to see Smitty go to the Broncos with Fox and then Panthers-Broncos Super Bowl, oh man would that be awesome.

You're right on about the now or never and the income even if they don't win it all.

    • I want to like Woods more, but there's something about him that I don't think will translate well over to the NFL. I thought he and Banks had potential to be our pick at 19, but I'm moving more away from this....defintely on Banks.  If Freeling isn't there at 19, I hope we move back.  In the mid-20s, I'd feel more comfortable with Iheanachor or Lomu. I don't feel like Miller can play LT, though he'd be a great replacement for Moton at RT. I'm also out on Proctor for OT.
    • Of the two, Decker would be my choice, but not at the pricetag he would command.  TBH, I'm in the Salyer camp as a competent fringe starter that is better than Yosh was, but unsure if he can hold up for 17+ regular season games. My guess is he would be a gamble like others are making on Chenal, Turk, etc. in rolling the dice on a promising young guy stuck buried on a talented depth chart.
    • Yeah, leaving Miami Ohio out would be dumb. Almost as dumb as now calling the play in games the "1st round". In a field of 64 you can't tell me there's not room for a 31-1 team. Hell, I volunteer my Heels to stay at home and give them our spot. LOL
