ESPN Mock 3.0 We got Cyrus Kouandjio

Keep Steve

Recommended Posts

Y'all keep screaming OL, but the stats dont say that. Sure, Bell got blown up against Mario, but he only gave up 6 sacks on the year and I think 5 of 'em were to Mario. The staff says he's a more natural LT...so who are we to question that?

Also, like Zod and a few others have reiterated over and over and over. We are returning 4/5 starting linemen that were in place before injuries. Yeah, those injuries are a question, but if they are getting clear bills of health, you don't go throwing away elite players unless you are certain that the right pieces are there to pick up...and they haven't been, otherwise, they would have made that move.

Sit easy, dang

I would much rather take a chance on Moses falling to our pick in the second round then taking a risk on CK.

CK just doesn't seem like a smart pick mainly because I don't think there is a huge upside there, he just looks like an average LT.

Moses on the other hand looks like he can become a really, really good player. His feet are super quick for his size. CBS Sports compares him to Ryan Clady.

If you want to watch some film on Morgan Moses look up his game against Clemson where he went one-on-one with Vic Beasley (one of the top pass rushers in the ACC). Moses absolutely dominated Beasley limiting him to 0 sacks, 0 tackles for a loss, 0 QB hurries, and 1 assisted tackle.

You mean the same Dr. Andrews that said RG3 was 100% healed and ready for Week One? The same doctor that backtracked on RG3's status the moment he struggled?

Actually, Andrews did say he still had some concerns, before RG3 was allowed to play. He kind of hinted that he wasn't quite ready.

If he was Otah II that would be that bad..... If we for a version that wanted to play. Otah was a freaking beast. Dude would have been an All Pro of he had hard. We hit on the talent

I get what you're trying to say, and I agree, but damn CRA, you hit the Jameson a little early today!

This....seriously this guy is Jeff Otah the second coming...steer clear from CK...

If we drafted this dood I'd be nuts especially depending on which WR is there at the time....

We can literally get almost as good as CK's "ceiling" in the 3rd round this year at OT....don't want

If he can play like Otah did his rookie year I'd be ecstatic.

I'm seeing ALOT ignorance in this thread.

His knee is fine.

Let me repeat that : HIS KNEE IS FINE.

Comparing his to otah is completely unwarranted.

We'd be very lucky to have Cyrus on our team. When he shows out at his pro day everyone will completely forget about the combine or there was ever a concern about his knee

You mean comparing an OT with injury issues to another OT with injury issues is unwarranted?  Our medical staff obviously cleared Otah too.

I'd prefer not taking a guy in the 1st round with injury issues, especially one from Alabama.  Those Alabama guys are already beat to hell by the time they get to the NFL.  Saban kills those kids.

The guy was huffing and puffing during his (maybe) 5-6 position drills at his pro day (the one he started out by saying he wasn't even going to participate in). Apparently he decided that he'd suck it up and run the drills, but he looked the same as he did at the combine OUT OF SHAPE. Guy just doesn't want it, so why would you even want him?

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
