Cotchery leaves without contract

Looks like we will be waiting until after the draft to sign any FA WRs. TBH I got no problem with that. That means the team wanted to keep that receiver but was able to replace him in the draft. so it could be a win/win for us.

I don't think it's so much that.  It's the fact we won 12 games last year (and a Super Bowl contender) and hes basically saying fug it, time to rebuild.  Which is absolutely ridiculous.

We aren't rebuilding at all, we just didn't have the money to pay FAs this year, which sucks, but yeah.

Dropping Smith doesn't mean we're rebuilding

My thing is why even fuging bother with bringing them to town? Makes you look even more clueless. If the genius wants draft our 2014 WR core then stop with the fuging charades and wait for the draft.

There is nothing wrong with bringing in players to see how much they are willing to play for. The media are the ones that have everyone on pins and needles about this whole thing. The team has a plan, they are just doing their homework and evaluations like they should.

Gentleman's defenders are running out of excuses, and my god I'll be glad when March is over,

It's just April

It's just May

It's just June

It's just July

My God folks it's just preseason(heard that one all last year when I complained about the offense)

How much money did Cotchery ask for?  Do anyone even know?  Does it matter at all?

If it does matter, should you wait to find out about the offer before forming an opinion?

Between panthers and pittsburgh.....you can't take the dude to Bojangles for dinner and expect to sign him.Once they leave usually dont come back.

Money seems to be short here in Carolina for the Panthers,so I have no problem with taking Cotchery to Bojangles. After all we don't want to spoil the dude by taking him to a fancy restaurant, one  that we can't afford. :).

    • If this was 3 years ago during BY rookie year and it was fair "best man wins QB", white would have easily won.  I was a hooker fan and it didn't cost the Panthers what 100,000 to bring him in. White just knows to non-stop study the playbook and he's a 30year old pro at this stage.  Boogie too, but he ran out of PS call ups and only the love child of Gilbert and goodwin can remain on the PS. That guy from the 49ers put on a show for a guy just off another team. Im too sick, cause I enjoy following the PS and 6 moves mid-season is a big day!!...
    • Before rip me an ass, let me voice my opinion. It is not sustainable winning with 103 yards passing, no touchdowns, and turnovers. If they didn't have Rico blowing sh%t up, they would be in deep trouble. I am thrilled that they are winning. I am not being negative, just realistic. The season is almost half way over and they still have the problem of anemic QB production. Believe me, they know something has to give sooner or later. I like Bryce as a person and seems like a good dude. But being a good dude will not win games in the long run. Sooner or later, they will have to make a change. Their is a certain level of production that you need from the QB position. This kind of production will not get them to the next level.
