I would trust Godfrey manning Graham more so than Captain.

If we are gonna pay him 5 million to be a nickelback, Why did we let go of Captain?

That's why for me it was a tough pill to swallow parting ways with Anderson.  If we can duplicate that with Graham and the other tight ends, we will be back in the playoffs this year.

I would assume Godfrey would stay at FS and move into the slot when we brought it out the nickel... leaving Lester/someone else at FS and Harper staying at SS.

Ya your wrong. Godfrey sucks at tackling for sure but his cover skills are good. The play where he tore his Achilles he made a huge play on the ball.

Godfrey is much better at coverage than laying wood. Though it doesn't mean it's a good move.

I hope we draft an FS.  We could very well grab one like Ed Reynolds or Kenny Ladler.  

 

We better cut Godfrey or give him a straight up pay cut to keep him if we're about creating cap space.
