Tampas defense is beastly...adding Michael Johnson to go with Mccoy, David, and that secondary with Lovie's coaching is going to be tough.

I feel like they will make a huge leap next year. They still have to draft guys like we do and have less holes.

Johnson isn't a top level pass rusher. He benefitted from Atkins. So I'm not worried about that addition at all. I seem to remember The Huddle and C-S-R overracting to the Goldson signing too. How that turn out? Seems like I was right -- overrated paper tiger signing. Outside McCoy, David and Verner, that defense doesn't scream elite.

Well to be fair, you even mentioned yourself that McCoy is elite (or close to it), so Johnson will benefit from that just as he benefited from Atkins. McCoy isn't quite at the level of Atkins, but he's close to it. Though I do agree that Johnson's strength isn't rushing the passer.

I don't think Tampa's D is elite at any one position group, but they are solid all-around...no real weakness. Their run D has been top notch the past 2 seasons, so if they can add a pass-rush to it then they'll be formidable.

1) there will be an "expert" picking every single team to win this division. This guy thinks TB, another guy will say the Taints, etc.

2) TB has improved greatly. Not a bad team.

3) we have an extremely good track record as the underdog, and tend to poo the bed as the favorite. So good, let other teams get all the hype

Well all they have to base their opinions on is what's on paper. Can you say we really improved defensively on paper? You can certainly say we aren't better offensively on paper. Games have to be played but I don't see how anyone would be shocked or upset by this.

Gettleman is creating a simple winning formula for us. A proven top defense and ball control offense. With cam running the show and our defense, not sure how you can pick against us. Smith was a huge loss at wr but we have added another pass catching te and two wr that catch everything.

The bucs often win the NFC South "Post free agency, pre draft" crown. That is how they roll.  Big free agency, fair draft, poor performance, high draft pick for 2015.
