  2. I see NCSU in your username. feel so bad for him. local kid, rooted for him so hard when we drafted him. finally came into his own and then just this devastating injury. sucks man

    Drake Maye

Since people are taking a bow on being right about players months before they were drafted. I was right about Drake Maye over 3 years ago! Even I didn't imagine he would be a couple of votes away from winning the NFL MVP award his second year in the NFL.
  4. Best off the ball LB I've ever seen when you consider all the things he did pre-snap. He wasn't just an elite player, he was a Brady/Manning level QB mind at MLB making sure we were in the right play with the right checks and that everyone was on the same page.
  5. Very interesting class. In an alternative world where AB never went off the rails and LeVeon Bell stayed on the Steelers, all 3 of the killer bees might have made it in Looking at that list. Adrian Peterson and Big Ben should be lock first ballots. I think bellicheat and eli will also probably get in.
  6. I haven't paid any attention to the NBA in decades. Honestly since the Larry Johnson/Alonzo Mourningg days for the Hornets and Jordan's retirement for the NBA in general. Maybe that'll change if the Hornets become seriously relevant again. Another Heels star would definitely help too. We haven't had a legit NBA superstar since Vince Carter. We've gad some good players since but no legit superstars. Maybe Caleb Wilson will change that.
  7. Here are ten newly eligible players (added to the list of those who are still eligible but didnt get votes this year) https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/article/2027-pro-football-hall-of-fame-class-rob-gronkowski-adrian-peterson-ben-roethlisberger-lead-stacked-group-of-first-time-candidates-063555439.html
  8. I haven't seen anyone say it'll be easy next season. Personally think major improvements with regards to pass rush and offensive playmakers are needed to take the next step. Won 8 games after playing 7 playoff teams and both superbowl teams in 2025. And that's with Hunt, Chuba and Coker injured most of the season. A rookie and XL were your top 2 WRs. Rozeboom was your green dot LB. Have to think there will be improvements in WR and pass rush, just because the top guys aren't rookies anymore. Long shot for 9-10 wins, but it's possible.
  9. Hornets win 8 in a row and handed KD an L. Love to see it.
  10. Today
  11. The Rags are a trainwreck. If there was ever such a thing as a 2-0 beatdown, this was it. NY had zero serious scoring chances while Quick probably played his best game of the season. Canes collected a post and 2 crossbars, adding to their ridiculous number of near misses. Carolina allowed just 16 shots on goal, including a stretch from 5 minutes remaining in the 1st period to 9 minutes left in the 2nd where Bussi didn't see an SOG.
  12. Got the win, and Brandon had a pretty quiet night. This is a good team. The team has made it to the play-in ranks. Tied for 10th now, but Chicago is about to free fall. They’re going to be horrible the rest of the way
  13. We have won 2 ges at MSG this season. The Rangers have also won 3 games at MSG.
  14. It just hasn't hit the mainstream radar yet. If it goes viral best believe it'll be mostly gatekeepers taking issue. A lot of black folks have a zero tolerance policy on people who don't identify as black using it. I live in the Bronx where you have a lot Fat Joe types who throw it around as part of the culture here so I get it, and locker rooms are usually politically incorrect for comraderie's sake, but letting non-black people use it is crazy to most of the country in the same way that a confederate flag means "I miss slavery" to anyone not from the South.
  15. As a white dude that grew up playing sports and in locker rooms my entire life no one really cares except people that blow everything out of proportion. I’ve used that term to my teammates and they have used it towards me, with the “a” it’s more brotherly than derogatory and everyone in that locker room knows that. People these days just find everything and anything to be upset about. Besides, who doesn’t love singing Karaoke to Nelly?
  16. Regarding Coker, there is no problem. Assuming he stays healthy, He will likely be signed when the time comes.
  17. It's more impressive when you have one or two of the guys have an off game or get in foul trouble (Miller) but the rest of the team picks it up. They believe in themselves. Hats off to coaching too. What a fun team to watch. Can't wait to get Colby out there too.
  18. So many wasted draft picks on receivers. It's nice that we finally got a good one. Great start to a career.
  19. Only because Smitty should have already been in, but Fitz is 2nd all time in catches and yards, he's a 1st ballot HOFer, so Fitz getting in over Smitty this year isn't a problem. The HOF is going to be missing out on some worthy WRs for a while, possibly until after their eligibility is up and they end up being senior committee selections. There is such a backlog of guys who should have gotten in, and at some point in the not too distant future, they'll start to be passed on the yards list by guys getting an extra game and playing in a much more pass happy league. Add in the new rules they made, and any non clear cut first ballot WR is going to struggle to get in right now.
