Message to the 2025 Panthers Front Office
Panthercougar68 replied to CRA's topic in Carolina Panthers
When a player is sent to waivers there is an understanding in this league on who wants who on practice squads. Also, Hunter will be back on our practice squad unless someone signs him to a good deal so just be Patient -

This is true. Probably the latter. Offense changed a lot when Rhule left. Actually for the better, not sure if that was Wilks or McAdoo not being micromanaged. -

A 5th round pick. He must have been complete ass in camp/preseason for them to give up on him so quickly. -
Most people at the time praised these signs. Crow tastes bad I guess

Pretty sure that didn't happen until after Wilks took over as head coach, who knows if Rhule wouldn't let McAdoo do it earlier or if it was Wilks' idea. -

I thought we got the most value out of him when Ben McAdoo made him and Cade Mays fullbacks. -

I was just getting ready to say the exact same thing. -
But but but, he’s a point guard, he had no help, uhhh
-
I really needed to read this just before bed.

Yeah Dan Morgan is not going to do anything that may result in him having to answer a question or go on camera more than he is contractually required to.

LOL i heard this same exact same thing last season...just saying -
I’m not upset he was cut, I really thought he had a lot of upside though. I also think somebody is going to use that upside elsewhere.

The Sanders thing is fake. We could use some safety help no doubt but the FB thing about him asking us to sign him is fake.

GREAT LIST!!!!! I'd look to add both Davis and Muma at ILB. One is a WILL ILB and the other is a SAM ILB. Clear upgrades over Bam and Cherelus Mukuamu would be a great addition at safety. I'd drop Scott for him and start one of Richardson or Ransom I'd give Fadil Diggs a look over DJJ any day of the week. DJJ is not long for the roster once Nic is 100% Outside of the guys I mentioned and a CB to be named later I really don't see too much shuffling from what we have on our 53. I think we need to get creative with our PS. Luckily we are healthy and can take some time to develop players if we retain a few of our own. I think Kingston and Tarquin will be back at OL for us. Sam Roberts, Mike Reid, and Bartholomew for sure on defense. I'd assume Wright will stick on the PS until our rookie kicker proves himself. Sam Franklin would be a perfect PS signing. I'd love to pick up Kyle McCord or Trask as a PS QB. One player to keep an eye on is Jalen Brooks from the Cowboys. He's from the area and is talented. Lots of options. PS players can play 4 games before having to sign on for the rest of the year!!! -

Agreed. In a similar way to Aaron Donald being considered too small for IDL when he was drafted, Lampkin is always viewed as too small but just dominates anyway. -

Most of these were brought in or drafted by Fitterer. Dude had to be in the top 5 worst GMs of all time -
The Panthers FO certainly doesn't believe in the KISS mantra. It certainly doesn't make me feel all fuzzy towards Morgan and Canales. Makes me think of Rhule and Fitterer to be honest.

I still can't believe how hard Rhule tried to cram Ricci into the offensive scheme, dude was horrible -
they could bring him back to the PS---feeling that he needs more time and maybe be available should a WR go down midseason. In other news: (I worked all day, so this could have been discussed.) Have not seen it, but read on FB that cut S Sanders is in "secret talks" with Carolina.

Damn you Panthers.

I’m actually fine with our TE group. I would like to see us upgrade at ILB, maybe safety and CB. I think we are good at WR. I thought Corley could have been a good player but I guess he wasn’t doing good at all. I came across this article about Corley from today. I know sometimes a change of scenery can really help turn around a player and we’ve seen plenty of players from the jets end up being good other places. I just don’t know if Corley is that guy. https://www.newsweek.com/sports/nfl/jets-insider-shares-embarrassing-fact-about-malachi-corleys-release-2119816 -
I was really rooting for him after seeing that video about his struggles. I always thought he was a solid and underrated player. I thought for sure he would have made the team after hearing all the hype and how he made that overthrown catch by Plummer behind the line and still was able to gain a yard or two off it. Plummer really overthrew him each time yet he was able to still not lose yards. I think he still could play in the nfl. I think he may need a few months to get into top form though. Hopefully he will get signed to another team.
