Also, I haven’t seen much national media hype for this team so wherever you are seeing all this cause for concern please post links so I can inject all the hopium straight into my brain.

I don’t really believe that what we talk about in the off-season has much to do with what the team does this coming season, but if you did wouldn’t it make more sense to be as hyped as possible? Like if fans were super hyped and excited and felt the team was a real contender to the point of selling out our home games and painting BOA in Panthers blue wouldn’t that help the team, not hurt it? I don’t get the kill the vibe approach and never have.

Finally getting a chance today to sit down and watch this and per the usual... That Franchise Guy continues to be one of the few content creators out there that isn't Panthers-centric but is still clearly pays attention to the team. About to wrap up the coaching & scheme section, and I appreciate how he points out that Evero was legitimately having to trot out practice squad guys as starters. I knew it had been tough on the defense last season after Derrick Brown and Shaq Thompson went down, but man... it took seeing the total snap percentages at the end of the season to realize just what the team was working with... 2024 DL: A'Shawn Robinson, Shy Tuttle, LaBryan Ray, Charles Harris, DeShawn Williams, Nick Thurman vs. 2025 DL: Derrick Brown, Bobby Brown III, Tershawn Wharton, A'Shawn Robinson, Cam Jackson, LaBryan Ray/Jaden Crumedy/Shy Tuttle (pick one)

Only team I would worry about is the Bucs but as long as Bowles is their coach that team will never reach its potential.

Guess it depends on what people think we are hyped into being this year. Which I think is pretty broad. I think about 7ish wins is about right. Which is in line w/ Vegas.

Our division is semi weak. We have a real shot to do well this year.

Yes. It's fluff time anyways but it's getting a bit ridiculous. I don't believe this mix has ever worked for the Panthers before. Break .500 and then start the hype.

While I have a chance to be overly excited I'll take that opportunity. The team will determine what happens with that. It's been a while since we've had much to be excited about, I'd say let's just embrace it and see how it unfolds.

Knowns: top 10 o line 2 proven, quality RBs 2 proven, WRs who get open and catch everything. 2 others who show a lot of ‘potential’ A QB who improved greatly in the last few games of the season, topped off by putting up a 40 burger win in OT in this franchise’s kryptonite house. What will transpire this season is yet to be seen. defense has far less proven. 2 very good CBs, a stud DT (coming off a major injury) and the rest is, again, ‘potential.’ A DC that is essentially starting the season on the hot seat. This is not 2003, but it could be good. 2003 was the most stacked roster from top to bottom that this team has ever had. This squad finished on a big upswing, yes, but we’ll see. I think it all comes down to how spiked your hopium is. The running game is where it is for the team. This is not a defense that will win 3 points games. Just not. To win, this team will have to dominate TOP and come up with 2+ more 3rd down stops each game. Again, do-able and should be good for at least a 7 point differential in our favor, ‘hopefully.’ I will say that it is nice seeing talent that actually belongs in the NFL on our roster.

Say what you want, but last year Bryce gave Carolina the best QB-play we've seen a very long time. A very long time. Often with rookies at WR and TE, and a RB not known for his receiving abilities. There is much reason for optimism with added weapons, and consistency/ chemistry on the offensive line and coaching staff. Now if the defense can get to average instead of a heaping lump of dog doo, this team should win a lot more games. This season is a turn the corner season. Next season is the year to press the accelerator to the floor.

I hope after last preseason our 1st team offense sees at least a few more snaps.

This is the time for positivity. Everyone is undefeated and coming off of an off-season of hopefully helpful moves. We'll find out what the reality is soon enough.

I always expected it locally but even national media is talking like this team is about to do something. I personally don’t like it, because it rarely works out that way. The blueprint stuff too. When you start speaking like you have arrived it diminishes the drive and the hunger it takes to compete. We haven’t won even a game yet, I am cautiously optimistic, but this team has too many questions from a roster and development perspective to be talking nonsense like playoffs or even a division title. Let’s just enjoy the journey and take it easy with the projections.

I think it depends on what our opponent does. We need to play our starters as long as theirs are playing. I dont think it does a whole lot of good for our starters to whip up on their backups.

Sam Bennett has got to go for more than that right? We should go after him.
