I will say a chunk of those don't have to do with trying to improve the team overall. While not a big fan of the Evans pick, he has largely been our best TE so far this season in limited action. BPA should always rule the day. Don't reach for need, draft the best players available with caveats added for schematic fit and literal ability to roster a player. But X being needed over Y should never come into the equation when Y is a far higher rated player on your board.

they are very different versions of below average. For Dalton to be whatever version of not bad he still is.....he had to throw the ball downfield.

I will never understand with how we've seen things play out over the years that there is a such thing as we KNOW such and such player will be great before they've taken a snap. Kyle Pitts came into the league with more hype than any TE prospect I can remember going 4th overall (thanks Falcons for drafting him one pick before Jamarr Chase). Eric Ebron and TJ Hockenson are two others that come to mind. Bowers had a historically great rookie year, but the knock on him was staying healthy and so far this year that's been a huge issue. Warren wasn't even the first TE drafted in this year's class.

Why in the world would Rozier who has made 100+ million dollars need to tip people off to bet 200k? Isn't his dad a piece of poo? Likely that his dad roped him in to "hooking his buddies up" and he did it because he wanted to make his dad proud or some poo. Makes no sense

Bryce and Dalton are similar in my eyes. Both severely limit the offense and need a plan around them to succeed. I hope that Canales doesn’t get pass happy and keep with the game manager strategy because it is the only thing that will work with these two QBs.

Mitchell Evans is continuously grading out very high week to week. He makes all the easy plays and blocks like his hair is on fire. He was working with a first to second round grade before being down graded by draft pundits for past injuries. He was a semi-finalist for the Mackey award. I believe we got a great late draft pick up. Tremble when healthy is an excellent blocker and has become more of a sure handed catcher. Sanders has to stay healthy and catch better. We have depth and if Bryce could be more consistent, maybe the stats would look better. Upgrading is not a priority right now.

Well I mean they had to have a thread where it was forbidden to make a negative comment about him. Because we are such big meanies to him. I am happy to say I escaped this time, I made no snide remarks nor pied any. And it wasn’t like he was out there being put on a stretcher and people were like yay Dalton time.

Well the bar for Dalton looking better had been set pretty low by Bryce. My expectation is slightly more production and far quicker decision making with the ball. Less mobility but quicker and probably more accurate. So something like Bryce + 10-15%. I am not exactly expecting him to blow the doors off. Maybe just achieve slightly below average NFL QB play.

These are all clear bust guys. They are more suited for teams with well established starters and good QB development. That isn't us. Also none of those guys are clearly better than Bryce and none of them are an actual upgrade over Dalton. I am fine with them as a 3rd string option. That's very reasonable. But it wouldn't fix any of the current QB issues. But, that being the case, is it better to dumpster dive or maybe take a shot in the draft on a guy? Not saying I prefer one or the other, that's all situation based.

It was completely pathetic for all these sports leagues to embrace gambling the way they have. A stain on all these sports.

I'd be a little surprised if Dalton does look better after a game. Sure we could have the surprise game where there isn't much film on him with these new weapons, but just like last year he will look bad if not worse after that (if that even happens). For all of his short comings (pun intended) Bryce is a lot more twitchy in the pocket and has saved a lot of sacks that Dalton probably couldn't this year. I think we invest all of our draft capital in building a stronger roster. I'm not sure a backup rookie QB does has the immediate returns they are looking for. Unless there is some QB we are high on that falls to the mid/late rounds I don't see happening. Now if Bryce just bombs this second half all bets are off.
