Go Falcons! (they win out & we're IN no matter what)
CardiacCat replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
There are “win it that way” or “lose it that way” scenarios in many games throughout the season. I’ll take it if we would get into the postseason by this unlikely scenario. -
I hated the pick when we made it. He just isn't a starting NFL WR. Physically he's what you would draw up but he just lacks the basic fundamentals at the position. I don't think he has any real trade value I suspect he will still be here next year. The only WR's that are locks to me though are Tet and Coker. I do think we need to inject some more speed into our WR room. Or at least someone twitchy who is an excellent route runner.

I don't give a crap about the Falcons game if we can't take care of business Saturday I don't want to be in the playoffs. -
Minimum 800 pass attempts by a QB is going to weed out the randos you are likely right about

Shough gets enough "big time throws" to eclipse Bryce "the cannon" Young's single season record. -

That’s actually designed for the biggest meltdown possible around here. Full game day thread the next day -
Yes the Panthers are my favorite team. Been following them since the Clemson football field days. I’m just fed up with this “inconsistency” day in and day out. Are we going to suck or are we going to be contenders? We all know they are not ready for prime time games. Look at this season. We all know Bryce is not the guy to lead us deep into a playoff run, since he folds like a wet noodle when under pressure. We have good rookies on or team that are going to be wasted with this inconsistency.

Oh i keep forgetting Sat. NVM -
That was not a message to the team. All that stunt did was reinforce to the world what a low T soy boy our head coach is.

I’m pretty sure there had to be a game that was lower. it was probably raining really hard and they were wearing leather helmets but it was definitely lower signed, Cope -

We basically have Seattle or the 49ers at this point right? I’d rather avoid the Rams again. If we have to play an NFC West team, I would prefer we play one that we haven’t beaten already. - Today

Not possible. Falcons-Saints is at 1:00, and our game is at 4:30. We’ll know if we need the win or not before our game even starts. -

What should be the most huddle centric ending possible? we lose to Tampa. Game ends early and we all switch over to watch Shough lead them on a….GWD -

Burns quit on his team, full stop. Burns was and continues to be a liability in the run. JC has never looked this bad before the concussion. He always was a very solid tackler, from what I remember. I’ll take the overall body of his work over his current down stretch. I’ve never had to question his heart. The FO has royally screwed up roster management in many other deals but retaining Horn continues to be the right move. He will be back to form next season.

I get it. I was making a joke that we have zero chance of winning.

Did Bryce play bad? Yes. Did the whole offense play bad? Yes. Was Canales bad with his playcalling? Yes. Now with that being said I don't put this loss solely on Bryce Young. The seahawks are a much more talented team than us and to win in a scenario like that you need some luck which we didn't have that day. Bryce has shown this year that you can win with him at QB but the problem is that he doesn't have the ability to elevate the rest of the team around him. Bryce was a number 1 overall pick who we traded a haul of assets to get going into the end of his 3rd year the expectations need to be much higher than 54 yards passing. It's been nice to get some wins this year and have a chance to make the playoffs and Bryce has played a part in that but at some point the front office needs to see that you can't keep giving Bryce a pass for these low production games.

The best coordinators in the league don't want to touch a team that is going to force them to start their pet project players/coordinators who are failing. I can't put a HC on the chopping block who isn't allowed to choose his own QBs, DC, or what RB he wants to start. -
I'm not looking forward to watching the ALL 22, but I could tell Bryce was given control to audible out of runs in 1Q, that control of the offense was taken away in 2Q to regain field position, and when Canales made him throw the ball in 3Q with the play calling, Bryce had no idea what was going on with the Seahawks defense. Bryce was spooked. He was seeing ghosts worse than Sam Darnold ever has. His hesitation, lack of urgency, and lob balls were the most consistent part of his game on Sunday.
