Seems like a guy that could turn the 10-20 yd passes from Bryce into 40+. People hated the Kuechly pick when we took him but the fact is if we get probowl/top tier player it's hard to hate the pick even if we think we're covered at that spot

I’m wondering how much the Belichick disaster is impacting all this. Could see a scenario where coaches are saying “they threw a bag at football and it flopped, why would hoops improve”. Seriously, at this point, I’d go get the High Point coach and have him bring his three best players (all hoopers) and be happy with finishing 3rd or 4th in the ACC next year. Duke and Virginia have to tier coaches and recruiting in place. Pretty sad when Carolina is a distant 3rd, but that is where we are currently.

General Offseason Chat/News (& AI slop postings)

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/draft/2026/04/05/nfl-mock-draft-2026-grok-ai-picks/89416801007/ USA Today mock using Grok-AI. Funny read just shows how far AI has to go. BTW it has us picking Lemon, only one problem "If you're keeping score at home, Lemon is set to join his third team in the first round. Turns out, the receiver is a hot commodity as he'll also catch passes from Bryce Young in 2026 and beyond." -
Yea, I know nothing about UFC. If I do bet it, I always take the underdogs knowing you’re one punch away from cashing. But small plays for me. Light Sunday for me. Gotta go pick up a new pit puppy I bought. Will probably play an entertainment baseball bet on the night game. Enjoyed that hoops parlay I hit. Like Michigan to cut down the nets and cover.

WR isnt bad we need a number 2. Coker is a 3. I think XL could be better with a better QB, but since thats not going to happen let's get what we can for him
-
ATL could lose out Toronto could go 1-4 Philly should go 2-2 We just have to win. 4 games. Just go win.
-
Well a fully healthy Koochie could be coming in the playoffs so who knows? also, they should have traded for Bob. Nobody would score on us.

What do y'all think about Skyler Bell?
toldozer replied to The Total Package's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's like a 20 % hit rate. No better than anyone else -
The more I hear about WR, the less likely I think it is. Still, if it means moving on from XL, I'm OK with it.

Hurst would likely be a day two pick, perhaps later second perhaps earlier third. We may have to some finaigling. Could you imagine legit twin towers, maybe triple towers...?

Tony Pauline’s 2026 NFL Mock Draft 4.0
MHS831 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Exactly--"Durability is the major concern. He has a history of injuries, including a torn ACL, MCL, and PCL from his time at Colorado, and has never played a full season at the collegiate level." How did it work with Brooks? For their needs (Coker, Legette, and TMac are larger WRs), Concepcion (Z Receiver who can play slot) makes more sense. But when I see Carnell Tate falling to 16--for the record, I would not take Concepcion if trading back is an option. I am thinking we should let teams know who might be interested in the draft's QB 2 that we are open for business. Note that they have the Panthers NOT taking Freeling (OT) or Thienemen (S) or the DTs McDonald or Woods. The draft, to me, seems to drop off around the 14th pick--trade back if you can. -

Nike doesn’t do that anymore, now they just give you a plain colored shirt -

So the two guys I originally wanted all the way back in December, that were projected around pick 20 are now mocked to go #3 and #5 overall; Bailey and Styles, respectively. Go figure. -
Nah, he's worth it. One game doesn't change that. He probably shouldn't have been such a distraction this week for his team but he'll get a championship one day soon
-
Hate taking receivers 3 years in a row on day 1.
-
All the Canes (except Miller) are now dominating offence zone time and with a smothering defense, can you imagine what a juggernaut they would be with an elite goalie, they have to hold teams to less than 15 SOG to win most games. Can they keep this up in the playoffs?
-
Start the mental gymnastics. Offering top money to the top guys and they still say no
-
And they mention some other guys who probably wouldn’t be first rounders or even second rounders but sound interesting. I would be hoping to identify some more of that. What he said about Conception does fit the profile of what elements I think the 3rd guy should bring. But I still think we can get that without spending yet another first round pick. Canales has some receiver roots before the QBs. Ditto Idzik. Put that poo to use and find us someone outside the obvious 1st round suspects that every average fan can see.
-
The contract UNC offered Lloyd would have put him between Hurley and Self, somewhere in the 8.3-8.5m range... After last night, I'm not sure he's worth that... Lol
-
Much appreciated, TD--you have been bringing it lately. I give credit when it is due. I like Hurst too--if we don't take Concepcion. A WR might cause the Huddle to erupt. I see us getting a LB in round 2 and I guess we could go DT in round 3-- I see a CB in there somewhere.
