  1. Past hour
  2. to revisit and respond to this conversation on Christmas Day is another level.
  3. That stuck out to me, I took it as he thinks we have an offense capable of putting up 300+ air yards a game but not the qb designed to put up those numbers, yet still somehow they were optimistic about it. Especially this Ross Tucker guy trying to put a positive spin on every comment Cosell made
  4. Merry Christmas my Huddle compadres
  5. Correct turns out you're just wrong. Now you can
  6. I have no voice left. That place was electric!
  7. Today
  8. Boom feels like he has been neutered down under Rod. Chatty is a fighter but after that concussion, he seems slow and way less physical.
  9. This is great I hope Rico and Mike reach their goal this week
  10. Yep pretty much nailed it. He was the #1 overall pick for a reason and he’s starting to show why. Can he keep showing it into the end of next year or do we have to make a very difficult decision next season? Tbd
  11. Yes, although slavin only played with boom the one game. Then it was walker
  12. He's under contract. He'll be here to fight for another spot. I pray they bring in a veteran to push him, or even beat him. Of course rece8vers are always expensive, regardless of their ability. Not sure why Coker is in this thread.
  13. The coaches can't figure out what to do with BY9 much less Leggette
  14. There is a lot of talk about his IQ and his commitment to the game and this and that and no one can firmly say one way or another unless they are with him day to day. Not to mention the standards don't jive with the presented reasoning for defending Bryce Young’s rookie season and subsequent beginning of his sophomore season and third season to where we are now 40+ games as he is finally beginning to string together better QB play. When I think of Legette present day I think back to Ted Ginn being a pretty significant bust with the Dolphins as a 9th overall pick and then coming to Carolina (twice) and still struggling with the same mental errors on the field and Cam Newton going back to him again and again and again and even going to a Super Bowl with him as the #1 WR. Deactivating him is weak. Figure something out to his strengths for the rest of the season and reassess in the offseason.
  15. I think the season has been a success. I try to look back at what I said would be a successful season before week 1 and we have reached that. The success though has you wanting more haha. But we've had improvements and are right there fighting. Bryce has improved which was a big thing we needed. Hope we improves more obviously. But I agree with others about Evero, unless we have an offense putting up 30 points a game I don't like this type of defense he has. No pressure either. The biggest issues I see with this team are, zero pressure on the QB, soft zones, and the horrible special teams play on kickoffs/return coverage. So I wouldn't mind replacing Evero if someone better is available and definitely get someone new running special teams. When you combine Evero's defense and the fact we allow teams such good field position often it's a bad match. Overall, we have won 8 games which is crazy.
  16. He seems to just be a low IQ player on the field. We obviously keep him but we have to figure a way to use his strengths. Right now he's probably the worst receiver we have. I'd like to see Horn on the field more to stretch defenses for one. There's no way you can convince me XL is helping us more than if we had Renfrow on the field for clutch third downs. XL is a good blocker though and as others pointed out I wonder if he could be better suited for a TE but I'm not sure there either.
  17. Cosell was pretty upfront about the pros and cons of Bryce and he was correct about it all. One other key thing that will conflict with a loud contingent on this board is he directly said we have a better offense than people give them credit for. Interesting.
  18. Merry Christmas to everyone!!!!
  19. This is the only correct answer. Rozeboom volume tackles, he misses some, but at least he’s in the frame. Wallace does nothing, check the stats folks. Check his mic’d up, he was incredibly slow and did nothing. No instincts, no urgency
