Well, for QB next year, we have this year to look at Bryce. Again. He is starting and they aren’t working on alternatives. As of now he is starting this year. 100%, barring injury. They got someone they think can run the offense for backup. To challenge Andy lol. Their intentions are, we have another year of Bryce. I don’t need them to force it and waste a pick on a QB especially if they believe next year looks way better. So that being the case, in my mind, unless someone they love just falls to us later in the draft I don’t know that I care if they take someone this year, just to take someone. I wouldn’t object, I just don’t think it is something to prioritize. We are just in that place where he needs to turn the corner, and running out of corners fast. If he truly stinks it up this year or doesn’t show clear progress, I have to trust them to see it.

Nay No point in "wasting" even a mid round pick on a QB this year in case Bryce turns into that guy for us. And if he doesn't, I'd rather just take a shot on a QB in the 1st next year than hope we get lucky in the mid rounds this year.

I doubt the raider thought bowers was pointless, I doubt the colts think Warren is pointless, I doubt the bears think Loveland is pointless. A weapon is a weapon. I could carless about the label you give him. The NFL has moved to a more position less approach. If the guy can play and has unique traits the better. Saying no tight end first round is sort of short sighted.

Rams ran more 13 personnel than any team in the league last season. Seahawks were 4th. He gives this offense the ability to do things it cannot currently do, and you really can’t buy great tight end production on the open market. people trying to diminish the value of it are wrong.

Sounds like your complaint is more about Bryce than the player. So by your opinion what should we do just suck on offense and hope for more defensive wins? Bryce is fine.. not elite not bad. I think you can win with him if he has enough help around him. Having a 6'4 240 4.38 tight end matched up with linebackers and or corners seems like a valuable chess piece to me. I don't care if he's an H back or whatever. The guy is a football player who displays off the charts athleticism which is exactly what this offense lacks. Him and leggette probably timed close to the same 40 except he's bigger and has a higher vertical and can stretch the field and plays tight end. I honestly don't see what's not to love.
