3rd Round Pick Trai Turner G LSU

Kurb

Recommended Posts

We dont even know what Kug could have given us.

Fleming was a much better pick!!!! You can get decent guards later in the draft and in FA.

FUG FUG FUG FUG FUG

Do you have any idea what the hell you are talking about.   I haven't looked at the Ealy yet but so far you have bitched about two of the three picks we have chosen.

Do you really know what you are talking about or just bitchin to bitch?

Gettleman had 5 rookies on defense last year.  That to me would be a huge indicator that he might know what the hell he is doing.

Fantastic pick.  I'm watching his game against A&M, and he's literally dominant every single snap except for one false start.

There's a saying I heard from an old OL coach. "A lineman that gives ground gives he--"...well, you know.

The guy doesn't give ground. He'll work you around in a circle, but will not give ground. And he can move for a big fella. I'm really excited about this pick. He and Kalil....whichever side you want to run, Turner will be on.

Hahaha....

Also noticed he does a great job at sustaining and finishing blocks. But, the same can be said for that entire oline. They look really good as a group and wouldn't mind that RT either, but Turner does stand out as the most consistently dominant.

Early in this thread, someone questioned whether Amini would be at LT.  Amini was a good LT in college, but kicked inside because there was obviously an all Pro LT in Gross already here.  Not saying he can go back to LT or not, but wonder if he will get the opportunity to compete with Bell for the position?

New strategy: Put a cheeseburger at the end of the field.  Tell him if the RB scores, he gets the burger.

when your jersey doesnt fit over your belly, and you still run a sub 5.0 40. you will be a starter. this guy is a mauler, glad we picked him before the 49ers.

So Kug is supposed to be considered a 2014 pick, but we take another guard? Can one of Amini, Kug, or Turner play tackle? Otherwise I don't get this.

Sent from my SM-G900V using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

Turner is better than Kug....and they say he can also play center. And we have no backup center on the roster.

Good pick

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
