last year before the final injuries, kug was taking snaps at C.

 

this year RR mention him taking some snaps at C.

 

seems they are playing it smart, i mean there is little to nothing behind kalil. if you are a backup OLman, will you better be able to play more than one spot. simple numbers, most times teams only carry 7 active on gameday. between those two, one better to able to hike somewhat and/or play OT. 

 

 

i didnt pay much attention when josh norris said recently kug could be a washout. but now after 10 months, hes still rehabbing? i know the injury was much more than a simple(no surgery is) clean out. he may even start on PUP, all it takes is someone hungry enough and panthers could move on. panthers brought in a lot of OG/C types before and after the draft. 

 

We need OT's more than anything though. If kug can play OT I can see him sticking around for awhile until he's fully healthy.

He is better suited to play RT with his run blocking skill and with a frame of  6'-4" 325lbs with 34 7/8" arm length.

He wasn't drafted to be a center. He can play center if need be but his best positional value is right guard. At least his scouting reports say so. I have no clue though what the coaches have planned for him so...never mind.

I'd like to see whomever winds up as the backup also groomed as a center since Piggy and Byers are gone.

So far his role has been to sit on the bench and give his best impression of a worthless 6'4" 300 plus pound soft turd. He did such a great job of it last year we're giving him another year to improve on it.

Really love all the huddlers giving this guy sht all because of the Otah debacle. You guys aren't 6'4 300+ pounds destroying your knees every game in the NFL. At least let the guy have his chance to show something before you call him lard ass. You aren't in his shoes. 

 

If we are lucky he can play RT and we have Bell and Chandler in rotation for the LT. Chandler is my dark horse to be the starter. We don't know his ceiling yet.

On Kugs high school highlight tape he played Tackle, his feet looks a lil quicker than i originally thought.
