Business travelers I need your two cents

Been several years since I have flown for work and next week I have several meetings in Dallas. Lots of face time with power brokers yada yada.

My question is I have to wear a suit or two and was curious whata best for packing and taking on a flight?

Im trying to avoid a suit that looks like Joan Rivers neck.

Do I just wear one on the flight and pack a blazer with a shirt to make sure at least one looks sharp?

Sorrry to ask but kinda a big deal and I want to be on my A game.

This is common for me. I have a garment bag that zips up like a suitcase with spinners. I would recommend using something like that, because it keeps everything from getting wrinkled. You can fit 4 suits, 6 shirts, 2 pairs of shoes, toiletries, etc...

This is a great one, and one hell of a price...

Roll them up do not fold. Or if it's for work why not just check them in one of those boxes for suits? The company is paying right?

Yeah companies dime (s)

Excellent call.

I may need to run out and get one. My travel time will start ramping up soon anyway.

I traveled a ton for business (both domestic and international).  Even with the garmet bag, you will still have a bunch of wrinkles.

I purchased a small handheld garmet steamer for about $40 that I throw in my bag.  I use it to quickly drop out wrinkles created during travel in my shirts, pants, suits, etc.  Works fantastic and will not damage the wool or wool/blend suits like an iron will.

Here is the one I have and it is pretty small.

I've been fortunate to stay at hotels with complimentary dry cleaning. Depending on how much time you have, you may try that if you find you slept in your suit.

Are you staying with a certain hotel chain and do you have a rewards membership?

Its downtown Hilton so im sure they can press. I may wear one on the flight to keep it simple and pack the blazer.

Good stuff fellas. Newcastles for all.

I travel two or three times each month. Pack my jacket, shirts, pants in a suit bag and fold it on the top of everthong else in my carry on. Iron the shirt and pants at the hotel. Hang the jacket in the bathroom, close the door, and turn the shower on hot for five minutes. Steams your jacket - no more wrinkles.

    • I think the book has been fairly written on Darnold, and by and large stays true. He can be rattled by pressure, and will lose his composure. If a team can get to him and have something go wrong in the plan, the mistakes and errors will pile up. Rams have a better offense, Seahawks sport a better defense. Should be a good 1.
    • Not a defense of him...an understanding of the problem. (something you seem to be lacking right now) 🙄 Bryce in a Canales offense is not an example of a stylistic mismatch, but I can give you one if that helps. When he was playing for the Panthers, Cam Newton sat under OC's running Coryell type offenses. Newton had a big arm and was a strong runner. He fit into that sort of attack very well. Then he goes to New England, where at the time they were running an Earhardt-Perkins system (similar to WCO In a lot of what they do but very different terminology). The Patriot offenses back then were heavily based on timing and rhythm style passing, not something that Newton was especially well suited for. So he washed out at New England, not because he had poor ability (his abilities had been on display here on a regular basis) but because he didn't fit what they wanted to do with their offense. I always go back to Jeff Garcia as one of the prime examples of this issue. Garcia in a WCO looked like a world beater. Put him in any other scheme though...yikes!  So again, Young's issues here have nothing to do with any failure to mesh with Canales. Hell, is say Canales has actually done pretty well at adapting his system to who he has rather than trying to jam square pegs into round holes. Again, it doesn't take an elite level of football knowledge to get this. It's pretty basic. But if you're not even capable of understanding what the real problem is, how are you going to know you to find the right solution? 🤔
