Who'll be the 2014/15 bottom feeders?

It's the offseason so I believe general NFL is still cool herrre.

Which teams do you see just doing terrible this coming season?

My picks:

Titans--no more Verner, Locker isn't all that great and I can't see them making an impact whatsoever.

Falcons--For some reason I can see them

Falling apart if the passing game doesn't blow up

Jags--still climbing but it's gonna take a while

Dolphins--Another team that falls apart

Isnt Minny looking to try and start Bridgewater?

I would say any team with a rookie QB starting from this draft is going to have problems. I guess I should be looking at divisional matchups more but. . . yeah start a rookie at the most important spot on your team and youre going to have problems. What Cam did as a rookie was historical.

The worst teams always have issues at QB (except somehow Atlanta managed to subvert that rule last season).

That said I agree with the Titans...new coach, not a lot of talent on that team.  Locker is injury prone and hasn't shown much.  They could definitely struggle.  Top 5 pick?  Yes.  Worst overall?  Nah.

Houston will be in the top 5 starting Ryan Fitzpatrick, although I think their defense will be good enough to keep them from being the worst team.

Detroit Lions...this is a hard one to pick but I just don't see them being that good.  Stafford is a mediocre QB that crumbles in crunch time.  His stats are inflated from playing with Megatron.  They will be in the top 5.

Minnesota Vikings.  QB is still a huge question mark.  While they have Peterson and Patterson, this is a developing team that needs a complete defensive rebuild that will take a few seasons.  A team on the rise but not ready to come out of the basement yet.

My pick for the worst team will totally surprise you.  I'm picking the Bengals.  Hear me out on this...because they've had a long run of success.  They've got a decent game manager QB and a solid defense.  But losing their defensive coordinator will hurt more than people realize.  I see them having a Texans style collapse and Marvin Lewis is finally let go after an incredible run as Bengals HC.  I could be totally wrong and I probably will be, but there always seems to be a team that no one expects to be terrible that ends up picking in the top 5 (Atlanta?  Houston?).  Mine is the Bengals.

My Playoff team that falls off are Eagles.

In or Div the worst team will be the Bucs. Even though people think Lovie is some sort of super coach.

The bottom feeders in the NFC will be. Bucs,Lions, and Bears and a few more Im not sure about.

I'm guessing Jets, Bucs, Raiders, Giants, Vikings, Jags, and probably Texans again.

I am not so sure about the Texans.

They stil have great RB's, very good WR's, and a good defense.  It ALL depends on the QB.

I am not a fan of Fitzpatrick, but watching what O'Brien did at PSU with McGloin one year (and no other talent) and then a freshman the next year......I would not be surprised if he got the most out of Fitz this season.

Not sure they are anywhere near a real contender, but they play in a terrible division and I think will be much better than people are predicting.

Andre Johnson wants out. Other than him who do they have? Hopkins was solid as a rookie last year but it wouldn't say their WR corps is a strength, especially considering the AJ situation. Foster is a great RB when healthy, but they lost Tate so it's even more important for Foster to stay healthy. On D they could be good, we'll see. They should be good on D.

    • Would Morgan or Beason have been HOFers' if injuries hadn't derailed their careers?  I was not a close watcher of the game when Morgan was in his prime but I thought Beason had a few seasons at close to Lukes' level of play.
    • Franchise QBs feast when things are rolling and the tide that raises boats when things are going sideways.  Bryce isn't that. He's a complimentary player, that's it.  When the defense and STs are on point, he plays loose and it shows.  When we are in a dog fight and things haven't gone our way, he struggles.  It's that simple. He's not a horrible QB, but he's not top tier either.  So the question begs, is this worthy of a second contract?  The answer should be no.  It definitely is my answer. Bryce will never be a QB that can produce wins largely on his arm.  That's a FRANCHISE QB, any other QB is simply a placeholder at the starter's position until that guy can be found.   At some point the excuses of lack of weapons will be a straw man.  Heck, it's nearly there now.  I mean if he doesn't look even better than last year will we blame it on the TE position?  'Well if Bryce only had a player like Kelce, Kittle or Gronk on this team...'  Are we really going to do that?
    • When I arrived at college, I was 18, not too much younger than some of these draft picks.  It was not a huge school, but there were guys on the team who were 21, 22, 23....playing ahead of me.  I was seventh on the depth chart.  Those guys have been through a few seasons, were stronger, more knowledgeable.  I was a better raw player than some of them, but those other factors matter.  As I grew stronger, more familiar with the playbook, and learned what it was like to play in college, I gradually improved and with that, I rose up the depth chart.  It took most of my freshman year for the light to come on.  Had the coach thrown me into the starting lineup day 1, I would have probably failed.    And that was college.  So I agree with you based on my experience on a much lower level.  Frankly, I think that is why so many kids drafted to fill huge gaps bust.  The teams are desperate.  Anyone who looks to fill vacancies in the starting lineup through the draft is desperate.  You draft depth to develop.  For this reason, I say, "Let Walker start for a while."  Maybe Brazzell can be our WR 4.  Throw Hunter into a rotation and ask him to do one or two things.  Freeling needs some strength and he needs to work on run blocking.
