Cam Fully Cleared; Stewart Out 1-2 Weeks

Spotrac currently has him 8th in average salary among all running backs.

Maybe it's next year where his contract jumps up to the 2nd highest paid RB in the league, he'll be getting paid like 8.5 million next year IIRC.  Basing it off a chart someone had mapped out where he was 2nd highest after Peterson.

Either way, you think he's still justified in being the 8th highest paid back in the league this year considering he hasn't done much of anything since Cam's rookie year?

still not right.

stewart will make a little over $4m next season. if the top contracts stay the same, he'll be the 6th highest paid rb in the league.

Well the chart I saw was wrong I guess.

Still not comfortable with Stew being paid as a top 10 RB for the foreseeable future until we can finally get rid of him.

Well obviously I don't think it's justified, but there's nothing we can do about it right now. Just hope that he contributes.

Too bad they can't redo his contract and have it heavily weighted towards incentives. You know like play 1/2 a season get a mil. Actually practice another 1/2 mil. Who am I kidding if they done it that way he would probably owe money

Something that worried me about JStew was how... lacksadaisacal he was about getting back on the football field when he was on This Is Gross last season. He brushed off the needling from Gross and sounded more nonchalant than I used to after smashing my face with a gram or five of Sour Diesel.

I love the way that he plays. I just wish that he would actually, you know, play. :(

*gazes forlornly at his white JStew jersey* Well, at least when he's gone I'll finally be able to get my white Cam jersey.

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
