In the Panthers' preseason game vs. the Chiefs, Benjamin was routinely blowing past defensive backs and getting open deep. Newton targeted him on one such deep pass but overthrew him -- proof positive that their rhythm is a work in progress. He body-caught another target for a 24-yard gain that eventually led to a Panthers touchdown, but again he got open. It's his size-speed combination that had the Panthers drooling during the draft process and Benjamin has put it on display in the preseason.

I haven't played FF since 06', but I can't imagine how a top 5 FF player(I think) in Cam could last until the 7th or 8th rounds this year.  As far as Benjamin, I have a feeling he will surprise everyone in the football world, outside of the Huddle.

Kelvin ran a 4.53 in the combine, I wouldn't be surprised if he had a bad day.. KB has blazing speed.

Basically, a good RB is hard to find these days, so their value is higher than that of other positions. there are 2-3 RBs that can get you 20 pts a game, but there are 5-10 QBs that can do it.

Which is a great example of why FF sucks.  The system is terribly antiquated.  In reality, that situation is flip flopped.  An elite QB is far more valuable than an elite RB.

I think his first 20 yard split isn't that fast but I think his stride and top gear are deceptively fast, and that is what seems to set him apart on go routes.

I don't have any proof outside of him blowing past defenders though.

Blowing past defenders that can't catch you has to count for something. :)

Assume that 4.53 is the best he can run....that's not slow for a guy his size....not sure what the deal is even if that is his fastest.
