Would you trade Anderson to St Louis?

Hell no. If Cam's hurt and we don't have Anderson we are toast.

Anderson can at least make us competitive. I'm not sold on Webb. He's made some nice throws but we don't know that he can handle a whole game against starters. Also, trading Anderson makes Cam the most experienced QB on the roster. Although I think Cam is just about on his way to handling things on his own I think a vet like Anderson is still valuable to him as a mentor and teacher.

No.  I would trade Webb to them though.

I prefer DA to Webb.  DA has been in the fire,  he has taken the abuse,   he has started many games and is a true journeyman veteran.

I would hate to see Webb out there,  trying to deal with a ton of pressure.

How many people thought this same thing as soon as they saw Bradford went down?  Well what the hell happens if Cam goes down?  Anderson's been here for going on 4 seasons now and knows the offense.  He's looked sharp in preseason.  No way you trade him because he's easily one of the best backup QB's in the game.  How many teams have a former Pro Bowler as their backup?  The Jets?  lol

If we lose Cam for any significant time our season is over, just like the Rams season was over last year.  Doesn't really matter who the backup is unless you are dying to win 6 games instead of 4 games.  I would give up either of our backups to whoever wanted them if it netted us a solid return.

Yes but we'd get more value for Webb. DA is no better than Hill for them. Webb has shined a lot this offseason and we could get something for nothing out of him.

We would get more for Webb, a guy most likely to not make the team? Ok.

    • You joke, but hasn't basically the whole team been in Charlotte this past week together? I'm not one to see the random dumb stuff players put out on social media in the offseason and think it means that's ALL they've been doing and not working on their game.  But it's a little strange that all this is coming out at the same time we're seeing tons of stuff with the team in Charlotte together, even if it's just working out and not even official team OTA's or anything. So he gets a pass from me saying anything now, but if he doesn't show clear improvement this season, it then opens him up to some retroactive criticism for some things.
    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
