Chud was very good for us despite the first half of the season he went full retard, bring back Chud and tell him nomore stupid playcalling, him Cam/KB/Hill would have a field day together.

Hey while we're at it, we could bring back Dwayne Jarrett and tell him to stop being a lazy moron.

Man, who knew it was this easy to correct people's issues?  Why haven't we done this before?

I bet Hill plays sooner than later. As soon as he learns the offense he might get a shot.

Matt Ryan wears braided belts.

Given that the deadskins were looking at him as well and he didnt even bother to visit, this is entirely possible he was told once he learned everything he'd get a promotion. it's also possible he just realized what a real NFL team in us looked like of course and didnt want to dirty himself with a trip to that hole.

gives us a chance to evaluate the guys we have and Hill in the meantime.

Or he has a great agent who told him to take the time and have patience working under Proehl and to keep learning and improving while putting in the effort needed. I have bad feeling this guy is going to get a huge payday from another team while we have him play well on a short rental.

2011 defense was indeed bad. 27th ranked . 2013 they finished 10th . no excuses. Chud sucked . the man got fired from a head coaching gig after one year. Cmon. He's not even a coordinator anymore .

In all fairness to Chud, he wasn't really given a chance in Cleveland... I mean, we are talking about a team that switches coaches as much as Hugh Hefner changes girlfriends.

I think Chud was a temporary fix as a coach until the Browns could sign the coach they wanted. I mean normally coaches get a few years to try to fix their team before being axed. Cleveland had a horrible roster and Chud was fired after one year? Come on man.

I think that Hill wants to play and prove everyone wrong.   What better place than to do that here?  He wouldn't even smell the field with Garcon, D-Jax  and Andre Roberts.  He is going to get his shot here.  G-man loves big men, plus Hill an feel that need for speed as well.  I'm sure that Proehl is probably smacking his lips as well.  If Proehl can turn Hill into that WR2 that we need, no way that we're going to let him get away (and i don't believe that he'll be commanding top salary even if he has a modicum of success because of his first two years).

In short, this is the perfect place for Hill to piss or get off the pot.  Here's to hoping that he stands up and lets it rip like a man.

Hill will take some work, certainly not a day one beast but give him some time to learn the playbook and work with Proehl. I was a huge fan of bringing Hill, he was in a horrible situation much like Ginn was in Miami and SF with Sanchez and Smith at QB. Hill has great potential with his combo of size and speed, now we have to hope Proehl can piece together consistent hands and route running.

    • That should have been this year. Tough to sell to anyone worth getting when this crew is going into year 3 on the hot seat. I still think keeping Evero will sink them all after last year's showing. If/when he is scapegoated they need to show improvement or it's likely to be so eone else's problem next year. I do agree in principle tho, it all should have happened after last year's problems.
    • I've listened to some things that have calmed the "Bryce was flat out terrible" to just "he was really bad" in Week 1. It's Year 3 though, and that shouldn't be the barometer. I've got 1% hope left for Bryce, and that's just blind homerism coming out.  I'm scared that as much emphasis as the team places on advanced stats and PFF that the team *doesn't* think Bryce was that bad in Week 1. Couple that with so many of the QBs in the league looking rough, offense being down in general, and I feel like there's a lot of "what if's" going on in the building instead of facing the music.  Lose Week 2, and we should switch the main focus back to building/churning the roster, evaluating young guys, and hoping our next QB can have a Jayden Daniels level of impact. As we're all well too aware of, QB is a crapshoot a lot of the time. Admit we made a bad pick, and go draft another. And another. Repeat until correct.
    • I wouldn't want any of those starting as a rookie on day 1.  That said, we need a vet, that is not Andy Dalton, that can be the starter while a prospect grows and learns on the sidelines.
