Who on the Panthers will stick up for Cam?

So the entire league knows Cam is dealing with injuries, most significantly the hairline fracture to his ribs. These teams will be looking to take shots at our QB between and after the whistles, no doubt.

In the past it was always Jordan Gross and Steve Smith who were first to get in the face of any opposing player that might try and rough up one of our guys.

It will be interesting to see who assumes that roll of protector and says "that poo doesn't fly around here". We know Kalil will be in there some, but who else?

I could see Tolbert standing toe to toe with a DE. Maybe Cotchery. I'd love to see KB stand up for his new BFF as well.

the whole team?

someone takes a cheap shot and the defense will come out on the field and light up the other team's QB. i don't see anyone on this team not taking it personally when their QB gets hurt due to a cheap shot and standing up for him. this isn't the falcons.

Don't even worry about it. Everyone will.

Whats funny is watching the Falcons coaching staff beg their team to stick up for Matt Ryan on Hard Knocks. lol

They already know its going to be bad again with their terrible o-line.  He is going to be getting pin-balled around the backfield and wanted to address it in training camp.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
