The problem isn't Shula, it's Cam's energy before the snap. Too slow and lethargic. Watch most QBs before the snap and they are lively and full of energy. It sets the tone. Cam drags. Change that, and the offense will get it done every night.

Playing on one foot cam has done a damn good job in two games.

Yes it was. I've said the same thing since he's been in the NFL. He needs to SPEED UP before the snap, pep up. The QB's energy sets the tone for the play before the ball is snapped. Cam is WAY TOO CASUAL. You can literally feel the stagnation setting in each play.

The offense was one of the best in the league during that time.

This is a decent point.  We run PAs at the oddest times during games and they can be super predictable.  Not to mention out of Pistol/Shotgun with this crap OL.  

 

I really think any PA is predictable at any point when you dont run the ball. Look at Den, they came in and tried to PA a SEA team that was not buying and it happened the same way. Only difference is that they adjusted and almost won. We should have been running draws not PA IMO.

 

The entire game wasn't on Shula, but he absolutely was out coached and completely embarrassed. So was McDermott.

 

When McDermott and our Defense cant hold a team to 14 Shula is out coached. Is that on McDermott or Shula? Really can you blame McD for the size of holes Pitt was blasting threw our line as well.

Your guess is as good as mine on that one. One things for sure they dont like to make it easy on Cam. He def is earning his big pay day because without a 100% Newton our offense is sub par.

 

He sucks!!!!!! I been saying it , I speak the truth chud ran our offense better.and cam sucks in this shula offense too damn conservative and predictable and doesnt use cam for his stregths . If we not gunna use cam to his full abillity then start anderson. Cam is not a pocket passer stop using him like one, were stuck with shula unless we loose and im so mad at the way we're playing both sides of the ball . Steelers suck and they are killen us

 

Chud def scored more points but he poo the bed as well sometimes. Honestly we need a Tod Haily type OC on our side of the ball. Someone who like to run the ball but also can call a balanced Pass game. Rivera likes to run the ball but really what he likes is ball control and thats something you can do with a passing game as well.

Shula did not call a good game tonight, but the offensive line and special teams were the real problems.  What is aggravating is that we do not use a speed back in our offense.  With Williams out, we should have made plans to have a RB that can stretch the field.  We did not do that, and became one dimensional.  The Steelers cued on that, and Cam suffered because of it.

      Honestly, it wasn't on him last game. There are many other reasons that come before Bryce. Dave Canales is really starting to worry me. I mean there are glaring issues that can't be excused. I said back when the whole Rico/Chubba thing happened. I said right then that you cannot have a coach that handled those 4 or 5 games the way he did. I get it, most thought that he was trying to throw games, which was not wrong thinking because of how bad it was. The decisions right before half. The strict "Chubba gets this drive and Rico gets the next." It's seeming like a lot of our backups are the better talent, so he cant evaluate talent. Not calling a quarterback sneak because of size. Small quarterback have a different type of advantage, just not as good as a large quarterback, but still doable. Then he doesn't even explain why he didn't put Dalton in there (saying it would give away a quarterback sneak is...just stop). I honestly think he forgot about putting in Dalton. There are so many others that I'd have to re-watch the games to remember.  I could make a whole other post on that defensive game plan...absolutely awful. And a quick petition...see the quote above, can we please ban these weirdos and try to clean this place up. This is peak reddit right here and these losers will destroy the board. I couldn't make it though 3 pages because these morons post more than anyone else. These are the perpetual online freaking weirdos banned from getting too close to schools reddit mod types. This is supposed to be about football and this dork constantly tries to attack OP's question. Could you imagine someone in your real life group acting like this? You'd kick his butt out immediately. And you have this reddit loser trying to stop people for posting about the Panthers. Any normal person would just skip the post, but you have to remember these morons base their whole personality on their online persona. They would be banned almost everywhere else. Send him back to reddit, they will be a cancer to this place, trust me. I guarantee you he has more comments than 95% of accounts. These guys are the lowest in society so they live online. Its everything to them. You dont want that. Just read his responses. Do background check on that guy, there are younger people on this too and he probably isn't allowed to be talking to them, or be on here at all.
