.....Recalculating.....

Okay, so we took a wrong turn. Many believed we were headed for 3-0, but now we are 2-1.

I wanna start by saying Philly played a really good game but had a BIG mistake on that punt return. Lets not forget he has now played only 3 regular season games. Also his mistake was magnified by Norman's decision to ignore protocol and FALL ON THE BALL. Lets not forget that this was NOT Norman's 3rd regular season game and was not his first mishap on STs. (I wanted Byndom) I'm sorry, but potential can only keep you around so long.

Here are some things to think about:

- We have increased our big plays. Kelvin and OLSEN (YAC) with plays over 30 yards. Bersin with one for 29.

- Philly proved worthy of snaps at receiver. (Only going to get better)

- Every team has a poor performance at some point. Lower the pitchforks and torches, it was just one game.

- Shula's offense won us 12 games last year with IMO a less talented group.

- Still 2-0 against conference and 1-0 against division.

- Cam actually played well last night with a lot working against him. (Well placed passes)

- Keek and Davis will take this personally. The defense will straighten up.

We have a lot to be excited about. Granted, there are concerns at O-line, but I believe they bounce back. They haven't played this poorly this year, I do not see this being the norm.

Not blaming Philly or Norman, but man, those mistakes really took any momentum we had and crushed it. I do like how Cam went over to Philly and tried to motivate him afterwards, though.

Not going to lie, but I'm going to be nervous before every PR from here on out lol. As for Notman, I don't know if he'll ever get it. Just fall on the damn ball and stop trying to be a hero.

If you blame this game on one muffed return and a bone headed play by Norman you did not watch the game.

That may have been the final blow but there were a lot of other bad aspects of the game prior to that.

Sorry, my phone's screen jumped and i hit submit before I could finish. Im not blaming this game on it. However, this isn't his first bonehead play. Im asking for people to cut Philly some slack. He played a good game save the punt return.....or lack there of.

Actually Philly also decided to "ignore protocol" by falling on the ball. Not only did he muff the punt, but he tried picking it up again to only end up fumbling it again. So yes, Norman fugged up, but that whole ordeal should be blamed on Philly Brown and his Puerto Rican mustache

Well the thing is he didn't "try" to pick it up, he did. And he really had time to do so. If he would have protected it after that, all would be well.

Norman tried to pick it up and couldn't, knocking it into the end-zone. It was more dangerous than Philly's mistake. It was also done at the 5 yard line. Again:

Philly=Rookie

Norman=NOTaRookie

Bottom line is norman has made the same mistake again. He hasnt learned. I dont think he will til he gets dropped. I believe he is a talented guy, i just think he is a selfish player right now. You have got to know the situation on the field. If we were down 7-3 with 3 seconds left and norman tried to pick it up and run it I wouldnt really fault him. That wasnt the case. We had a good drive and a defensive stop. Bad decision for a vet.

    • Why? AI already taking jobs, running up power bills, drinking all the water and just bad for the environment but hey lest try to shoehorn another useless way to use it.
    • I'm going rogue in R1 but there's so much confusion around us. Last year, we were going Walker or Williams and caught folks off guard with TMac. The previous year we LOVED Legette and it was no surprise when his name was called. This year, I think we nail three areas that weren't totally addressed in FA.  R1 - Kayden McDonald Full disclosure, I want Thienemann here, but think he goes before 19. Some might see an "overdraft" but McDonald unlocks so many people on our D. Having a DT the caliber of McDonald let's Lloyd, Wallace and the newly drafted Hill flood the offensive backfield. Also opens up Moehrig and our EDGES to eat. Lastly, it also removes all the pressure on DB to be the primary facilitator in the trenches and A'Shawn will be missed. I don't care about Turk. McDonald is the only true DT worth of a R1 grade and Morgan seals up our trenches here w/ a kid from a blue blood school. R2 - Anthony Hill Jr *trade up*  I love JRod, but think a smart team takes him at the end of R1 (Seattle, NE w/ two d-minded coaches). Hill, Jr is a beast and lost in the shuffle with all the Styles/Allen/Rodriguez hype. He and Lloyd with DB and McDonald up front and flanked by Scourton/Phillips is nasty.  R3 - Hecht/Lew/Center du jour Let's stop the madness with ignoring this position in the draft. We need one and should start normalizing the capital invested in our OL with someone on a draft contract. He won't need to start day 1, but I think the right selection will push for starter reps. R4 - Bud Clark Not sure if he's here in R4 where we pick, but would fit the "type" of FS/roamer that we need opposite Moehrig and Ransom. Allows us to run 3-safety looks and really keep teams guessing with personnel packages. R5 - Kendrick Law The kind of WR we need. IDK if he's any different than Horn, Jr or Metchie but Law could be a dart throw that brings a deep threat to our WR corps I'm guessing one of the R5 picks is used to move up in R2 along with a '27 day 3 pick.   Post-draft, I sign Njoku to bring in a vet at TE. I'm also keeping my eyes open for pre-week 1 team cuts for a young CB that we could bring in to maybe plan for Mike Jack's departure next year. Flame away.... I know the McDonald pick will not make people happy.
