G.Williams back on IR

Third time in four years he has been placed on IR in the month of September (per J.Jones). Time to give him an injury settlement and be done with it. Don't know how much longer they can hold pat without signing another lineman. If anyone goes down they will be in worse shape then they are now.. if that's possible.

The dumpster fire offensive line is a disgrace

Surely there had to be someone in the US or any where else in the world that can play oline for this team better than who is there now

If people think Newton is hurt now, if he does not start rolling out of that pocket or something does not change in the play calls, sitting him will be a moot point

IMHO

Everyone slurped Gettleman for gambling on a crappy OL, can't go back now.

Slurped? Really if I'm not mistaken most people were outspoken in their distrust in this Oline. Countless of us were rallying against the lack of a good Olineman. I think when you say everyone you must mean a few people bc most didn't agree with Gettleman

Yes, because they can see the future abd should have known he was going to get hurt.

The poor oline has nothing to do with this incident alone. Everyone knew back in February how poor our line was and we did nothing. We watched the good tackles go away in free agency. Now our QB is getting hit and our RBs are getting hurt because of it.

    • He was saying Ron hid when he was cut/traded whatever that was.  I get being resentful, and feeling like that was gutless.  He, and Ron, neither are from the ‘breaking up with someone in a text or email is okay’ generation. That avoidance is seen as a lack of character.  Talking about it on camera how many years later? Why? And it is all one sided he said she said stuff. As he is speaking I am thinking well I bet that ain’t the whole story.    Between this type of stuff and him cheating on the wife stuff some of his shine is wearing off.
    • I was very critical of Ron Rivera as a coach for a range of reasons. But Steve Smith has been playing the victim for years now and it's just not working anymore. We know for a fact that he was disgruntled from the moment we drafted Cam Newton because of his own ego. That says more about him than anything he could say about Rivera. And yes Ron Rivera had a lot of faults. No excuses for it. We were right to move on from him. But ultimately Steve Smith couldn't hold it together with that group the same as he struggled to hold it together under previous regimes. He needs to grow up and accept his own role in the last few years of his Panthers career because there are things he could and should have done differently the same as anyone else. Stop seeking to only shift blame to everyone else and evolve or just stop talking and fade away. This isn't helping anyone and it is certainly not helping his image.
    • A friend of mine was involved in building Steve Smith's house and nearly came to blows with him during the process.  Love Smitty as a player, but I've heard very little good about him as a human being.
