"Have you seen Cam Newton lately? He is delivering the NFL's toughest performance this year. He is keeping the Panthers competitive by hanging in the pocket and taking charge of a huddle full of youngsters and newcomers. He is keeping his team alive with his arm, mind and guts."

Oh boy another Cam thread telling us what we already know.  I'm telling once he gets healthy and his O-Line gives him some time to throw, he's going to explode.  Only thing he's missing is a speedster deep threat like TY Hilton.  Hopefully Philly Brown can develop into that role.

So many people just don't want to see or believe this. That's what's sad - allowing an agenda to get in the way of fugging facts. He's getting it done, just needs to work on that deep ball.

Has he thrown a deep ball yet this year? I can think of one....to KB but he couldn't get open on the 3rd and 3

On Newton's block...

"It was a gritty play, a do-anything-to-win play. Newton, battling everything from bruised ribs to the aftereffects of dental surgery, laid out a linebacker because Brown and the rest of the practice-squad caliber Panthers offense needed all the help they could get. It was a leader's play."

Practice-squad caliber LOL (funny because it's true). Honestly the best article on Cam I've ever read. He said things many of us have been saying about Cam for a long time now. It's nice to see someone finally acknowledge all the crap Cam has to go through and how he still finds ways to win.

I'd say only about 20% of the huddle actually knows this. The general NFL public probably less than 1%.

    • Lil Stanky 100% in the dot tonight... And our 2nd line has been our best offensive line this season. Maybe our 2C really was on the roster this whole time...?
    • That’s a grade I kind of expected tbh. I’m not a huge fan of NS, but he’s not as bad as what the huddle says he is minus the horrible game he had vs the Rams. I’ve always thought he’s often used as a scapegoat. The improved pass rush should hide his deficiencies a little bit better if he’s the game one starter. FS might have to be a position we punt on this year unless Thieneman falls to us at 19. The reality is, you're going to have a few average players in certain spots for a team with as many holes we had before free agency started. You can’t sign everyone.
    • I am by no means trying to say he's a world beater. I'm saying it's trending in the right direction. Especially when measured against himself.i think the team feel the same way or else they wouldn't have picked up his option. Plus I think there is a new idea in the NFL about these young QBs. Teams give up to soon. Browns gave up to soon on baker same with the jets on Geno and darnold. Maybe they are who you thought they were in the draft process and they need more time to develop than you originally planned. Either way. I do think he is as capable as darnold is as far as you can win a championship with him. And something he does have that darnold doesn't is he is clutch.  If I need one more drive and 2 mins to go I'm betting on Bryce and I am far from a homer, just going off his game winning drives. He has that dog in him on the last drive.
