   Hardy also hasn’t been around the building, even though he’s allowed. Not a great look, esp. when making 800k. May be around soon, though.

Nothing will happen until his trial in November. If the trial is moved until after the season, he won't play at all for us this season.

 

If Hardy is found not guilty in November, he will be back with the team immediately. If he is found guilty, he will be suspended 6 games without pay. Because he is getting paid on this exempt list, it will not count as part of his punishment.

 

Basically, whatever happens, we got screwed.

How is the NFLPA allowing this precedent to be set? The NFL could use this case to show that they have the authority to sit any player who has a pending legal case until that case is fully resolved - then likely tack on additional punishment if the player is found guilty. If not guilty? Probably not even as much as an apologym

Serious question, couldn't Hardy drop the appeal and take the guilty conviction?

 

If this is the case he could make a good case for time served as the 6 game automatic suspension, give up six six game checks, and be playing in a week and a half against Seattle.

He would lose a poo ton of money. From a business stand point it would be dumb

I'd say some reporter needs to ask why he's being kept off the field longer than he would be suspended if found guilty, but I know that would be useless on multiple levels.
