Mild concussion. Didn't you get the memo? Benjamin playing on Sunday is up to himself unless Rivera and his teammates talk him out of it.

Keep up.

I'm guessing you've never had a concussion?

There's really no way of knowing whether or not he'll be playing Sunday right now. Concussions can linger and the only thing that helps is time. You really have no control over it, I'm guessing if he's still feeling anything by tomorrow they may just rule him out to not chance anything.

The last thing you want is to rush him back and set him up for another concussion this weekend. Best thing to do is wait till he's completely 100%

I'm slow too. I thought he was going thru normal concussion protocol.

BTW, is a mild concussion similar to being a little bit pregnant? What is the medical delineation in terms of a mild concussion, a normal concussion and a severe concussion?

I'd say at this point, it's unlikely Benjamin plays.

How often have you heard of a player diagnosed with a concussion on Monday play 6 days later?

5 years ago, maybe every week.

Now, hardly ever.

Eddie Lacy week 1, came back played week 2 and this is after having a concussion knock him out a couple games the year before as well. Benji has no concussion history.

"The thing that I think is important here is you don't manage concussions by a calendar," Dr. Herring said. "Some guys may come back in a week. Some guys may come back in six weeks. These steps don't have an expiration date on them. The player's history of injury and other issues come into play."

Once a team doctor signs off on a player's return, the player is evaluated in person by an unaffiliated concussion expert physician approved by both the NFL and NFL Players Association. This unaffiliated expert also must sign off on the player's health before he is allowed to return to play.

I have but they don't any concussion tests or screenings in Judo.

While true, if anything was severe enough, Benjamin wouldn't have gone back in. There's no way the coaching staff didn't know when half the Huddle was stating that he was looking concussed on the bench after that hit. I think he'll be cleared to play without a doubt.

Same thing happened with Captain Munnerlyn last year, didn't show any signs during the game but woke up with a huge headache and sensitive to light the next day. He did not play that week.

Yeh but he's a little midget, Benji is a behemoth.
