Can we all agree Thu is a must win?

If we hope to maintain any semblance of  the possibility of winning this division? Saints are very good at home and very beatable on the road. I don't think this team can afford to fall two games back of the Saints, splitting the series is extremely important.

They all are, and im not just saying it because it is cliche. If we won two more games we either lost or tied, we would be in good position.

So the answer is yes. Not only do we lose, but Saints would win. We cant afford to be behind because we can only affect one more of their games. Winning division is extremely important, and given the situation, the heat has turned up. This is a game we must win if we want to stay in the lead and remain in good position to make playoffs.

With our schedule vs New Orleans it isn't quite a must win. NO still has Ravens, Niners, Bengals and Steelers.

Having said that if we lose we will be behind by a half game and NO controls their own destiny.

Technically we both control our own destiny. Even if we lose Thursday we can win out and win the division.

For what it is worth.

Those are all home games for the Saints. I think they atleast 3 of those if not all of them.

I hope we do win Thursday, but don't be fooled. They are still a high powered offense and can put up 30 on anyone in any given game. I know they don't play well out doors. We aren't playing great indoors or out so it's a wash. My fears are that if we lose it will start a down ward spiral that will be hard to stop.

Saints win. Panthers with will be deflated from yesterday, yesterday's loss was the Panthers 2012 Falcons loss moment, it will derail their whole season, plus Jimmy Graham is playing well again

when the Panthers win the Superbowl in the next few years, and you're claiming fandom, I will remember you for the traitor you are.

I can easily say it means more to the Panthers. Home game, short week with their backs against the walls in the biggest game of the season so far coming off a loss, while the Saints are fat and happy after a home win and will come out flat while the Panthers come out motivated.

This is a must win, and I think this was the perfect week for this game.  If we had a full week to prep, I think we dwell on what happened instead of getting focused, now we have no choice but to be focused.  On top of that, we are at home, and while it might only be 7 hours, I'm glad we played sunday during the day and not Sunday night like the Saints.  Saints have almost no time to prep for this game.  The prognosticators will pick the saints cuzz they beat GB, but we've got everything on our side.  We not only win this game, I think we win in convincing fashion.

    • Kalkbrenner and Sion James received regular contracts and not two ways, so the Hornets have some work to do to cut the roster size down.
    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
