KB wanted to play for Carolina

If KB would have in fact ran a 4.41forty at the combine, then he would have never made it out of the top 7 picks, imo.but,i do see him gaining speed after those first 40 yards with his build or frame and gaining quite a bit of speed horizontally or vertically and becoming more difficult to defend, being more of a deep threat than one would imagine.either or,i am just tickled pink he feel to number #28,which was a real deal and a big time steal.

The more I think of it, I really believe the Panthers FO had the first round pick already in mind. KB was going to be our guy and KB wanted to play here. Now connect all the dots; Ricky going to FSU (I think twice), KB blowing off a NFL coach workout and the Panthers philosophy on getting bigger. I think KB and the Panthers were in cahoots. Panthers already knew KB inside and out before the draft, the KB incident of dismissing a NFL coach was a false flag to get KB to fall in our laps and deter other teams from giving interest. This is just a farfetched theory but however KB came to be ours I am happy for Cam and excited about the Panthers future!

Benjamin is a 'game speed' guy, not a 'track speed' one.

From what I've seen, he doesn't really seem to be that slow. He consistently beats corners, but I will admit he sucks YAC. I am hoping that this is an area that he will grow in, maybe even more so with another OC.

KB lacks the time in order to let a play develop downfield as a result of our oL.

I don't think he's slow.  He's not 'Megatron' fast either, though.

    • I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
    • This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
    • I don’t know about shadowing and all that, but according to this, whatever we are doing is working
