A little love for Colin Jones

Colin Jones and Josh Norman have made the difference in the secondary as of late.

 

They say Jones is actually the fastest player on the team, and it showed last night. He needs more snaps over Harper with Boston roaming.

 

At this point the Panthers would be wise to get the speedy young guys experience over the dreadfully slow veterans who have their careers in the rear view for the most part.

Yes. I saw him playing a lot and I was like "good". He is a gamer who I think deserves more and more minutes

He also made me cringe at being in the wrong scheme. It happens.

Both jones and Boston blitzed with real speed and determination. Big reason for our increased pressure yesterday.

There we're times when Norman got a bit overexcited and ended up over extending and getting beat. Otherwise he had another good coverage and tackling game.

There was a noticeable difference in the back seven l/n. He had one big fug up, but overall he was better than his predecessor

Play all the "young" guys.. At this point at least give us some hope for the future...

I like what I saw from Jones and Boston, they were blitzing with purpose and playing the run and underneath routes well. Outside of that pass to Graham where Boston was iso'd and the top with arguably the fastest/ most athletic TE in the game he played well. You've gotta put help over the top of your rookie safety in that situation.

I saw Jones get lost in zone coverage too, but at least he showed up. Roman Harper, OTOH, is a joke foisted upon us by the Falcons.

Exactly.  We're a hot mess right now.  It's pretty obvious we're going to limp through the remainder of the season, so it makes perfect sense to get those guys the most valuable reps they can... which is in the game.

i thought both played well - Jones and Boston.  Now what i dont understand is why Boston was singled up on Graham on the outside with no help over the top.  if it wasnt obvious the ball was going to Graham to our staff, then i have no hope for them.

We got to Brees a lot last night.  I would say the defense put out a good show last night, but that offense discouraged them.  We pretty much have to get turnovers, and score with them or else, turnovers don't mean squat.  Shame on this coaching staff, shame!
