DE Greg Hardy: 'I want to play'

Technically the NFL didn't do anything to Hardy. Everyone keeps blaming Goddell for this but it wasn't him who deactivated Hardy it was JR. The panthers could and should have played this like the 49ers and their owner did with McDonald but JR didn't have the balls to take the scrutiny that came with Hardy playing. All the NFL did was give us an extra roster spot so the team could make Hardy go away while paying him so as to avoid any union or civil lawsuits.

When are people going to realize McDonald was never charged with anything?  The only reason why he continued to play.  Had he been charged, the 49ers would have deactivated him too at the request of the NFL.

Unfortunately for him his decision to go on the exempt list means he isn't playing a down until his trial is over. It was the best choice at the time since otherwise he was looking at an involuntary suspension without pay because JR is a spineless slug who wasn't gonna let him play after he had that little crying episode at his awards ceremony. See you never, Hardy.

Serious thread derailed into weirdness. Too bad.

On topic: I hope Hardy sues the league when this is all over. It will be interesting to see what he'll be rewarded with in civil court when he inevitably gets off on the criminal case and we're all just sitting here looking at a guy suspended for an entire season (virtually unprecedented in the annals of pro sports history) FOR A FIRST-TIME MISDEMEANOR CASE HE WAS ACQUITTED OR HAD A HUNG JURY OVER.

sorry, but it really wasn't my fault.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
