It'll be so funny when the Falcons sign him, just because. I don't think ownership here is concerned about winning. Young people make mistakes. The talent margins are so slim in the NFL that you can't treat your top five player just like the 53rd guy. I couldn't pay him the money he previously wanted because of the risk but I keep him here to play football, because that's what his job is and he's one of the best at it. Ownership isn't in the football business it would seem so if Gettleman has already made a decision I'd be sure JR is in the background because well, Jerry doesn't always put the best product on the field and it took us 20yrs to figure that out. Nice guy though

I find it funny how people hold football players to a higher standard than their own public officials because of $ or limelight. These are just people no more, no less.

 

 

I don't know about you, but I would hold ANYONE to the expectations of not becoming violent with a spouse/sticking their dick in crazy/driving like an asshole and potentially killing people.

That wasn't violent. If it was we would be more disgusted. He couldn't get a girl to leave his house. A girl he broke up with. He is not Ray Rice.

Most younger drivers test the limits. I did. You act as though you were a model citizen in your early 20's. If so great but for most people that age they live a little. As long as your not killing people you should be allowed to make a living.

Should probably consider extending Norman this offseason. If he becomes a top 15 guy we probably won't be able to out bid everyone in his contract year.

i have known hes been a huge risk ever since we drafted him in the 6th round of the 2010 draft.however whats riskier in terms of success regarding this football team?cutting him or letting bygones be bygones?

If he were just 'football crazy' like John Randle was, I could get behind it.  'Off the field' crazy is another story.

 

Moot point though.  All reports indicate the Panthers had no plans to stick with Hardy beyond this year even before all the garbage happened.  Seriously doubt anything's happened since then to change their minds.

This guy here............My friend just look at the 49rs and Aldon Smith situatio, who has multiple altercation and yet they are committed to him. Why, because he is a difference maker on the defense if you want to win. Hardy is even more important to us in 4-3 and we should reach cap friend multi-year deal.

I disagree, that was the plan when we expected our defense to stay in top 10 with all the "talent in the DL".  Don't count your chicken before they hatch. Also salary cap is going up, along with dead money fore Smith and Gross gone.
