RIP KB's OROY chances

Well aren't we fortunate that the award rides on more than one play.

With that said, Mike Evans is coming into his own as is Beckham, Robinson, Matthews, Cooks, and even Jarvis Landry, Martavis Bryant, John Brown, Allen Hurns, Davante Adams, and Taylor Gabriel putting up solid numbers.

It's still a little unbelievable that we only drafted one receiver.

And don't forget that Donte Moncrief has flashed somewhat.

Yup.

I personally like KB for the panthers over anyone else.. we needed a tall red zone threat. But Odell is something else. Sucks we can't have both.

KB is a solid number 2 option, should be one of many weapons for Cam..... Odell is finesse.

Well OBJ isn't really a shorty, he's 6'0" with a 38.5" vertical.  Benji is 6'5" with a 32.5" vertical.

Smitty could always do well in the redzone because of his hops(he also had a 38" vert) and strong hands...OBJ is similar in that regard except he's taller than Smitty.  I do realize that Benjis arm length gives him insane range too though.

Reminder that there is a better version of OBJ coming out this draft and his name is Amari Cooper.

No he's not better, OBJ is much tougher but Cooper is a little bigger. If Cooper runs a 4.3 like he says he'll definitely be a top 10 pick, if he isn't anyway.

I'd love to get him assuming we continue to ride the poo train towards a top 10 pick though.

There were some on here pre draft comparing obj to smitty.

The guy is a massively talented player.

Yea I was one of them, my wife is an LSU alum and I was stationed in LA(unfortunately lol) so I watch a lot of LSU football.

He is tougher than Cooks who others were trying to compare with Smitty.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
