Viking game predictions...new beginning or the misery continues?

We come out strong, up 10-0 halfway into the 2nd quarter. The Vikings then get a pick six and another score to go up 14-10 at halftime and getting the ball back first to start the 3rd quarter. They keep the momentum going and hold a 21-10 lead for awhile. We get a garbage time TD before the 2 minute warning to make it 24-17. Our defense makes a stop and Cam and the offense have around a minute with one timeout to score a TD. After several first downs, we take the ball inside the Vikings redbone where Shula runs a screen to Tolbert that runs most the clock off and leaves us time for one play before the game ends. Cam goes to KB in the end zone but despite obvious pass interference, the ball falls short and Minnesota wins.

If there was one game Josh Robinson could have removed from his brain via some Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind procedure, it would surely be last year’s matchup against the Panthers.

One play in particular must be at the very top of Robinson’s all-time nightmare memory list. This 79-yard TD from Cam Newton to Brandon LaFell.

Anyway...we lose 21-10 but remain a 1/2 game back

I think we will win.  Reasoning is that a lot of soul searching has gone on this past couple of weeks and their ready to prove they are not a bottom tear team.  I do say this.  If they don't win I believe that is the final straw and a lot of things will start happening for next years season.  I don't think Rivera is fired but a lot of other coaches will be missing next year.

I have serious battered wife syndrome when it comes it the panthers.

I want to leave, I know its an abusive relationship. Every week the panthers ruthlessly abuse my soul, and from the core of our relationship I know we will never see eye to eye. I want to win, the Panthers front office want their cash.

But every week I keep coming back, I force myself to believe the lies. I buy into the "we are so close, PLEASE believe me" or the "Baby we have changed this time we will execute" the constant "We have learned from our mistakes it won't happen again, I know how stupid we were being when we didn't play to win", The "yes it is messed up when we cut ties with someone who was only being honest, but it was a one time thing".

Having said this, this is the week the Panthers finally turn the corner. We fugging crush Minnesota 33-3 and take over first place in the NFC south. LETS GO.

This game is probably going to be pretty close with a play or two deciding it in the end. Both O-lines are suspect and going against solid front-sevens, while the QB play has been very inconsistent. I just hope Kelvin/Philly/Olsen make that play or two over Johnson/C-Patt/Jennings.

I have a feeling we lose though, unfortunately.

    • Goes to S.C., great athletic traits, raw in some aspects, yeah he’ll be a Panther for sure.
    • Ive posted conspiracy theories about us being interested in him for months.  Hes an elite physical specimen with elite intangibles.  Hes got to show an improvement passing and reading defenses this season though.  If he does he will be the #1 pick.
    • Narratives change real fast because of how fast information travels these days and the need to generate clicks.  People said the Panthers were a great place for him to land but just because it was said doesn't make it true.  Was that true?  Did we have an All-star staff?  Did we have a good front office?  Did we surround him with talent?  Could the defense carry the load?  You have to squirt really hard to think it was just a bad rookie QB stinking it up all by his lonesome.   Saying the worst football teams have bad QB's is just low handing fruit.  It's the easiest thing to grab onto.  It could also be teams that have a bad coaching staff or no talent to surrounding the QB or a horrible front office.  It can also be a horrible QB.  To this day I think that T-Law going to the Jags might have ruined his career because of Urban Meyer.  I don't agree at all that Bryce's only good game of his entire career was against the Falcons.   Week 16 against the Cards (which is one of those last 3 games we mentioned) 36-30 OT win.  Threw 3 TD's Week 12 against KC 30-27 loss but Bryce went 24 of 35 for 263 yrds.  It was Mahomes magic that got us. Week 10 against the Bucs 298 yards in a close game with a passing TD and a running TD. We even had those flashes of what he could be in 2023 against the Packers, the 95-yard game winning drive vs the Falcons, or how he outplayed CJ Shroud with the win over the Texans. Especially in this respect you're not being truthful.
