Wow someone actually said that. He should be no longer allowed to post. Must be an extreme Cam hater to say that

that was dumb if that was actually said

He said it for months and ended up losing a bet if I remember correctly. A search chat for Geno's name should pull it up.

then mariota will be a bigger bust

Until you know what teams they are going too, I dont see how you can predict that. I mean, if the Eagles jump up and draft Mariota and Winston ends up with the Jets, I'll put my money on MM. Hell, if either of those guys end up in NY they will be busts.

BTW I got a new avatar pic for ya...  ;)

If the first two picks are quarterbacks and the there is a huge run on defensive ends like what McShay is predicting, then there is no reason why at pick 10 we couldn't find a BPA starter at a position of need. In fact, we'd be wise to trade back a few spots if the opportunity arose. I'm liking the spot we are ranged to be in if we don't make the playoffs.

I don't think that the first o lineman goes at 10 on the board tbh, could argue that the Jags, Raiders and Giants all need o line help as much as we do.

We really only have a few major glaring holes, if we can address them in free agency it'll give us the freedom to go BPA

Looking at the quality of tackles drafted since 2010, doubt there's gonna be much going in FA, kind of like last year. Given this year's draft doesn't seem to have a sure fire tackle prospect its going to take some real Gettlemagic (See Remmers/Norwell) to fill the gap this post season.

    • This And with possibly needing to replace Bryce next year and a deep QB class, I do not hate the idea of moving far enough back to pick up another 1st rounder next year out of the deal. I wouldn't have said that a week ago, but I also never expected us to land 3 big FA's at our 3 biggest positions of need like we have, it totally changes things.
    • The OL has certainly been better than the trainwreck it was three or four years ago. As far as competitiveness let's apply some realism and clarity here. Quite a bit of the competitiveness in 2025 came from the defensive side of the ball which gave up the most points in league history the year before and was one of the bottom 5 units in terms of salary cap allocation for 2025 while the OL was top 3. We had the 26th passing offense last year. And if not for a herculean couple of games from Rico Dowdle we don't back our way into the division title or make the playoffs because we went 4-6 in our final ten games including being swept by the Saints who were starting a rookie 2nd round pick most of us mercilessly mocked when they selected him. In conclusion yes we've seen a difference. The question now is will the investment pay off the way we want. But the only way that happens is if we field a top 15 offense. If we can't even crack the top 20 then there need to be some very warm seats across the board. And I would hope just about anyone here should agree with that.
    • These Spurs are lowkey loaded.  If healthy, they could win it all this year (#2 in the West right now). I still think we’ve gotta keep Kalk on Wemby; he’s not getting completely dominated like every other NBA center.
