Cam. The new era

Often times, when humans are faced with their own mortality everything in their life changes.  I know some of you here may know what I am talking about.   With me, trivial things in life sort of just rolled of my back, I noticed colors were more vibrant, I had more patience with people and I loved harder and was laser focused on the things that mattered.

Some of us view football as simply a game but for people like Newton it's their way of life, it's how he makes his money.  I predict that the Cam we see will be a person that we will not recognize.  I think Cam will be lighter, I think he will have fun and absolutely treasure every minute of his life.

From a fan perspective.  I think he will be lights out.  I think Cam will set it off and will become the voice that we've waited for.

This is just my opinion, flame if you must, I just know that these experiences change people and 99% of the time it changes you for the good.

Prediction.  Cam will put this Panther this team on his shoulders and carry it.

Love you guys, mean it.

Great so we win out, Cam throws for 800 yards, runs for 200, and we out score our opponents 80-10.

But we still miss he playoffs because NO wins out.

His light should have come on earlier today in the season when we controlled our own destiny.

Sorry to be a negative nelly, it just pisses me off we have sucked this year

It's always next week, next season with this damn team. Cam will change next week, you'll see. We're going to review the game tape and we'll make corrections next week. We'll be prepared next week. We'll be focused next week. We'll be relevant next week. We'll be take control of our destiny next week. We'll develop an identity as a team next. You won't want to play us next week. I'm sick of this poo. The Panthers keep us on the hook with the promise of next week, next season. Well they've been serving us this poo for 20 fugin years and they just don't come through. NEWS FLASH !!!! next week never comes folks. Next season never arrives. Our coaching staff sucks...this fuged up coaching staff is the FO's commitment to us and the players. CLEARANCE rack coaching staff. It's ok to buy a shirt or coat off the clearance rack. But when it comes to coaching/leadership roles on this team, clearance rack poo is unacceptable. what pisses me off the most is this coaching staff has lost at least 3 games this year...which has cost us the NFC south division championship.

Cam has changed w/o the accident happening, look at how he has taken the reins of this team, how he is shouldering the blame instead of making stupid comments. Not sure if the accident equates to him being a better player, though.

This is the biggest change in Cam since the day he was drafted, IMO. He's really grown. Cam was always a leader on the field, but he struggled controlling his emotions off the field- especially after a loss. He's really learned how to handle the media.

    • So dumb I get it, they want to expand the reach of the NFL, but it's not the right sport to be playing games halfway around the world for a variety of reasons.   But one of the main ones is what happens if a player has an injury in that game? A lot of times, you're not supposed to fly right after some injuries, so when they happen here it's not a big deal, the player stays in that town for a few days and then flys home separately.  But that opens a whole bag of worms if the game is played all the way out in Australia. Plus just needing that long of a flight to get out there and back, even if they get a bye week after, it means a ton of travel and needing to adjust to a new time zone directly after another game.
    • I don't think it was fear of the unknown because he tried to hide the extent of the injuries that made him drop. After the drop, the reports I heard were that teams knew what was wrong with his knee and it was something similar to another athlete from a few years ago (honestly don't remember if it was even a football player).  That it was basically one of those things where he should be fine for a while, there isn't a huge concern of immediate injury risk.   But what he has going on with his knee is something that is degenerative and there's little chance he'll be able to play more than 5 or so years on it before he won't be able to play anymore. So basically it was teams knowing if they draft him, he's probably going to be only a rookie contract player and even if he's great, you might not be able to get use out of him on a second contract.  Which in turn makes the drop make sense, but I'm kinda surprised some contending team didn't take him late in the 1st, hoping he'd put them over the top on a SB run but then not even have to worry about giving him a big contract in 4 years too.
