Bell sealed the deal enough said. And no not trying to start a fight at all.

lol not sure if you're really trying to pick a meaningless fight after our first playoff win in almost a decade...

but if you're legitimately asking....

I'm not sure it depends on if the Cardinal could've kept his balance. But Bell sealed the deal.

Let's leave it at this, as a starting wr u make those catches. Don't get me wrong I'm thrilled he hit the 1000 yard mark... But we need wrs to make catches right now if we want to progress in the playoffs!!!

is this turning into one of those brick wall conversations?

yeah of course that's what we need right now but that's not what we have based on a litany of factors.  you need to adjust your expectations and think about this rationally.

There are times that I have to remember the age I began posting on this board.  That makes these things easier to understand.

a rookie with only 1000 yards and 8 TDs in the regular season who was being covered by a REALLY good CB in a game where the QB was making some bad throws and the ball was really wet and didn't catch much. obviously a bust. must cut him immediately.

He's a rookie in his first ever NFL playoff game. They even won. Yeah he dropped a few crucial balls but you guys need to understand all he needs now is time.

really getting tired of the excuses for KB and his drops

I can see him losing a game for us before I see him winning one going by past performance - how can cam have any faith in the guy ?

Yea i think his drops are becoming a problem, Doesnt mean its unfix-able just means that for the remainder of the playoffs hes gonna be like this except catch one or two of those drops. In the beginning he was really great though as cam fit it in tight spaces. But after looking at those plays more they were more of body catches then straight hands. Wasnt just him though cam was off and the other receivers were dropping here and there too because of the weather and maybe playoff jitters. I liked when philly brown caught one clutch pass and cam ran to him immediately. Both of them hugged and it was as if cam was saying "thank you for someone finally catching the ball" and philly saying "dont worry i have your back".  I can see KB being like moose with clutch catches but we need to add someone who is the more traditional WR. KB had 10 i see him being a 5-6 drop guy a season which isnt bad.

So he's not Odell Beckham.

He still looks great for a rookie. He drops the ball far too much for a #1 receiver, but it's not his fault that this organization needs a rookie to be their #1 receiver.

If he's still dropping balls at this rate in year 3 I'll be concerned.

If Brown is out, KB will have a HARD playoffs.  No speed out there will cripple us.  I think we really need to bring up Hill just for some speed out there, even if we don't throw it to him.  This is what was happening to us when we had Avant/Cotchery out there with KB.

    • Yup. Hopefully  Brandon adds some muscle this off-season but he'll probably be resting his shoulder for a while so I doubt it. Miles should probably be replaced but I don't think we find a better 4th option to be honest. So is it better to add depth along side williams and Coby or try to upgrade the 4/5 . I think adding depth will probably be more beneficial than trying to upgrade starters and bank on Brandon and Kons continuing development. I really don't think they are going to make the playoffs unfortunately. I think the big hole they put themselves in has exhausted them. They've been amazing since January 1 but I think it's come at a cost and their legs are gone.
    • The issue is the predictability of it all in a Bryce Young led offense. In 4th down attempts the Jets were at 41 and we were at 40. And we were 4th in conversation %. We were 25th in the league in 3rd down conversion because we faced so many 3rd and longs in part due to playcalling on 1st and 2nd down but more largely due to the limitations that cannot be overcome.  And people want us to spend another 1st rounder on WR as if it is going to magically give Bryce physical talent he will never possess. It's a shame we cut off our own nose just to put ourselves in this frustrating predicament.
