Improving the Panthers in 5 Easy Steps - And So Can You!

Shula has to go.

Shula MUST go.

The retention of Mike Shula means another year of the same old poo on offense.  He is who he is.  And here's the unfortunate thing:  who he is is EXACTLY what Ron Rivera wants.

Considering that, place me into the thoroughly UN-optimistic category that any shifting of personnel and addition of new personnel will change a damn thing on offense.

Shula MUST go.

I dont follow college whatsoever, I went and researched some WR draft prospects, thoughts on Sammie Coates for those that do follow college? Would he be a good pick at 25?

He's got hands like KB, but he is definitely a deep-threat.  If he's healthy, he'll blow away the Combine with his measurables.  He is strong and can fight for the ball in traffic and is also difficult to tackle.  Can jump through the roof.  Its just his damn hands... much like Benjamin, he can make the unbelievably difficult catch and drop the simple throws right in his hands.

Get rid of the bums aka players who could cost us a game(bell, bersin)

Get rid of the bad players(decoud, cotchety,Harper)

Draft Lt,S,wr in that order

Look to sign decent wr fa's(Cecil Shorts,D Moore, ect)

Either replace Shula or make some serious changes to the offense(toss read option, speed up pace, look to score Tds every drive)

Ron's got to put on his big boy pants, year 4 and he still has clock management issues, quit leaving opponents in games and learn how to go for the kill shot, also put the best players on the field regardless

Regardless what some think if hardy is innocent bring that man back if not find a player to match his production simple as that

Trade Rogers for an cold apple pie at McDonald's

Profit

Torrey smith is not a good fit watch the guy all season he's to inconsistent

Everyone is forgetting about defensive end. There is no way Johnson gets paid 20 million next year and I am not sure he will work with us but I hope. If Hardy is not guilty we need to seriously consider him on a more cheap one year prove it deal. Which probably won't happen though.

Kalil and Thomas Davis are due to make way too much as well. Kalil is set to make LT money but I am very confident those two will do everything to help the team.

We need to draft a WR as maybe even a #1 because I am not sure KB can be dependable enough. That or sign someone. We need LT obviously and LB and Safety depth.

I wish we would fire Rivera but probably stuck but at least shula. Most everything everyone has said is right on the money.

    • You're assuming just as well.   Morgan and Canales were hired 3 days apart.  I believe it was partially due to their connections in Seattle.  i believe Tepper wanted some familiarity with his GM and HC.  It is so easy to sit back and arm-chair QB over draft picks.  You don't know what the philosophy was going into the 2024 draft.  I believe Canales and Morgan were drafting for the future.  XL and Brooks point to that philosophy. Name me one GM that is 100% on draft picks.  Just one.  You're not going to find one.    I think year one picks weren't for what can you do for me now but Potential.   XL hasn't lived up to the hype of a 1st rounder.  I think we all can agree on that. However, there still is hope he comes around.  What I believe they saw in him was his speed after the catch.  He needs to get more consistent but when he gets the ball you kind of hold your breath just a second because if he gets free, he's gone.  The Brooks pick was a signing for the future, and no one could have guessed he would re-injure the same ACL.  This makes the pick look bad but Dallas was ready to draft him later that same round.  IMO we'll have to see what happens next season before we can call this a bust. Wallace has improved each season and for a third rounder has done well.  Sanders has shown flashes and considering the pick in the 4th round it wasn't a bad pick.  His sophomore season IMO was a little bit more productive.  Smith-Wade has been a good addition and has played well.  For a 5th round pick to get as much playing time as he has.  Most picks below round 3 should take a couple of years to get up to speed.  He's been a decent player.  Crumedy, no comment We turned Barrett into Jackson.  This was an amazing move and basically got a starting CB for a 7th round pick.  Pretty shrewd if you ask me. Coker, maybe the best Free Agent signing of the 2024 draft class. So, in short, you can't say that the draft was a bust.  It isn't a home run but all but one are still on the team and outside of Brooks have made contributions to wins.  2025 draft class has been much better with almost every pick making contributions this season.  Now take Fitterer's two years and compare them to Morgan and tell me that they have the same philosophy.
    • He hasn’t led crap, he’s on loaded teams and a piece of the puzzle. And he’s he has improved drastically but it took the ultimate QB whispers in Shanahan and KOC. You put him on this Panther team and he’s back to normal Darnold
    • Slavin and Jarvis week to week. Florida cheap shots took out our two best players.  I’d start KK so he can beat the brakes off someone.
