Team moves that you don't like

For the most part, once a guy's a Panther I like him until he hinders our chance of winning. Didn't want DeCoud or Cason in FA then we got them and I loved them, then when they started sucking, I wanted their asses cut asap.

I'll get lit up over this but there are some guys (very few) I hate so much that no matter how talented they are I would never in a million years be happy about having them on the team. Tom Brady being one of them... Jimmy Graham, Aqib Talib as well. Some others.

Speaking of the past, when Hurney blew our 1st round pick on J Stewart just 2 drafts after using our 1st on DWill I screamed Hurney should have been fired on the spot. (Of course there were plenty of other reasons Hurney should already have been on the street)

But what else can you do but support the player once he's a Panther?

i'd question the point of getting into a bidding war if hell froze over and there was competition for the services of one byron bell.  it seems like gettleman sets a pretty firm limit on his value for his low-mid range targets and if they want more then he has no problem letting them go so i doubt that'll happen.

as for the draft, gettleman has had so few whiffs so far that i'd probably trust whatever direction he chose to go in at least on its face

Things I hated that I shouldn't have hated:

Thomas Davis

Cam Newton (thought he was too much of a showboat)

Things I hated that I should have hated:

Picking a RB with the 13th pick and trading away too much to get a T

Jimmy Clausen

Jimmy Clausen

Sherrod Martin

Trading for Edwards

Things I was "meh" about that I should have loved:

Jon Beason trade

Luke

Kawann Short

So let's say the Panthers either draft, sign or extend a player that you're not all that high on.

Do you attempt to talk yourself into changing your mind about them or do you just go ahead and rage about it?

I have absolutely zero trouble/reservations admitting that - despite my obsessive fandom, love of statistics, and daily reading to improve my understanding of the game - I know far less about what our team needs than our coaches, and far less about the best way to address those needs than our GM and personnel department.

So I guess the answer would be that I change my mind. I trust their judgment far better than mine and while I have do have a touch of the ego, I'm not self-righteous about my opinions of how to improve the Carolina Panthers. They are professionals; they could make countless, massive mistakes and still do a better job than I ever would.

That being said, if we all thought this way (or if I/we actually acted this way 100% of the time), there would be no Huddle. There would be no message boards. No drunken arguments on third and long with a clear draw coming. No, excitement.

And so, we will continue to rage and never be satisfied. There will always be something to complain about; always something to improve.

And thank god for that. Life would be so much less enjoyable if we had the perfect team.

Yep.
