Going to need a legit tackle who can produce now. Going to need a receiving threat who can keep pressure of KB and stretch the field with speed. Also, going to either need Ealy to contribute more and keep that pressure we had the the end of last year or Bene and Norman to take a big step up and have our secondary and to keep on their guys despite pressure.

If all those things in order I believe that not only will we threepeat, we'll also be a legitimate playoff contender, something we have not done in a decade.

If our defense is in order we'll threepeat regardless I think.

Ill make a prediction after the draft.  Gotta see what Atlanta fixes.

???  As I said before we curb stomped them, even without the brains of GMan, the difference between 8 and 25 in this draft in terms of value is next to nothing.  They're gonna lose a 2nd day pick and we were 31 points better with a gimp Cam and without 10% of the cap.  They're just to weak in too many areas and their QB is a female body part.

we won the division last year with byron bell at LT, nate chandler at RT, amini and velasco at guard for much of the year and guys like godfrey, decoud and cason playing significant minutes in the seconday.

we'll win the division again the difference is that this year it won't even be close.

i think so. i think the offensive line will be markedly improved along with the offense as a whole, and even though we still won't be a particularly strong team i don't see the falcons, saints, or bucs really doing much more than 9-7. if we can beat that mark i think we take the division.

    • Honestly I haven no idea what I would have even done last night, Edgecomb was the most realistic option to improve our team
    • He doesn't have the athleticism to play in the NBA. He had the worst numbers of anyone who worked out in this draft. He's legitimately the least athletic player in this draft, which is saying something.   His ceiling is Kyle Korver, with his lack of athleticism he's more likely to be out of the league in 5-6 years like Jimmer Fredette.
    • Well, he was in probably every NBA franchise's top 6 or 7. Obviously it's nice to take the swing and it work out. But when a guy refuses to work out for your team, is probably the guy refusing to play with LaMelo, has sketchy handlers, etc.? You want...to take that swing? A desperate team does, sure. Which the Hornets are. But a smart team doesn't. Which is what they will hopefully become.  Kon isn't a superstar, but his floor is Kyle Korver. Is that what you want in the 4th pick? Not really, but he's your 4th guy on a good team and what I think Charles Lee wants in a player.  Trade down would've been nice, but for who? Tre Johnson would've been my guy, but he's gone if we trade with Brooklyn. If Washington wanted Ace, I doubt it would've taken much to come get him. Trade down and get Maluach (knowing you're trading Mark) would make sense and may have been the play, but I think Kon helps the team on the court and changing a culture. Not so sure about some of the guys in the 8-12 range.
