Yeah the game might be in trouble if they can't solve these issues.

I expect to see more guys retiring early as more concussion studies are released. Surprised it's this early in his career but I understand why he did it.

I think this trend of younger players retiring is going to get bigger.  With new concussion research available and the long-term effects of playing in the NFL starting to become more obvious and negative, players are going to think twice before deciding to come back from injuries, especially head injuries.

Wow that's crazy. I respect his decision of health over money. Not many would make that choice.

The only way to fix it is to tone down the protection they wear, thus making them lay off. No amount of protection will even out the damage those guys do to one another. I always shook my head at the No Fun League whiners who hate on the NFL for these newer penalties. Anyone know the head injury rate for rugby? No pads. Yet they don't launch themselves like rockets at one another.
