I trust Gettleman.

I wasn't excited about the Kuechly pick because of our LB stable at the time that included Beason and Davis. We see how Luke turned out for us :3

Why do people keep bringing up Luke?

Gettleman wasn't even in Carolina when Luke got drafted

True but picking up good yardage on the ground should take away from the need to throw 60 yard bombs. Ooooorrrr open them up.

It's a passing league. . Rules are getting made every year to help the passing game..

We will have to make a comeback every once in a while.. And you can't do that with Bersin and Cotchery on the field. .

No team should draft a RB in the 1st. You can put 5th-7th rounders or udfa's at RB and still be good if you take care of your other areas. This would be dumb.

No, what would be dumb is reaching for need when there's a true difference maker on the board. THAT would be dumb.

And yet the Seahawks continue to be one of the best teams in the league. You can still win running the football and playing elite Defense.

For those who are against drafting Gurley in the first because of injuries then look no further than Willis McGahee who had a great rookie season, lasted from 2004-2013(10 seasons), and had 1199 yards in 2011 which was his eighth year in the league.

Now I'm not trying to say we should draft Gurley but we shouldn't overlook him because of injuries.

When your defense is elite and Oline has 2 pro bowlers on it..

Also let's make of list of WR between both teams. KB 1st then Seahawk after Seahawk...

Even if gurley was taken in the first i dont see either of them getting much playing time. I really think corey will come into a more productive role. They will add a wr in the draft or FA plus with ginn back, i think there days are numbered.

    • Not the biggest fan of PFF grades long but they made an interesting point on their commentary this week Bryce Young is presently per them one the worst “deep passers in the NFL” this year.   Which was the comeback narrative of being great at it.  But PFF deep is actually intermediate.  It’s 10 yards.   During his comeback he was able to get off those intermediate passes because of the big shift defenses went running man and blitzing.   where Bryce struggles the most to date is just being asked to stand in the pocket and throw into coverage.   And really struggles on top of that if folks start disguising stuff.  (This part is me….and his small stature and arm struggle facing that)  so I would expect people just don’t give him man.  Dial back the blitzing and just ask him to play into coverage with his arm.
    • While I wanted Stroud I was ok with the Young pick. I didn’t judge. Not even his first year. No knee jerk reactions. Allowed time to watch him learn. It’s into year three and it’s time. He sucks. It’s true this franchise sucks too obviously with other players AND coaches doing much better after leaving.  Unfortunately it’s a severely dysfunctional franchise and the only thing that will save it is a true generational talent at QB that this inept FO actually lucks into picking or high priced elite vet if that is even possible who would come here over other places or Tepper selling or keeling over. Things that are just unlikely to happen.   The Panthers are literally the new age Browns.
    • I knew he wasn't long for the league the first time he went flying through the air like idgaf.
