The Case for Agholor using Gettlelogic

Agreed and nice job on the Beckham reference. That is something I had thought of earlier when considering if Agholor could be our 1st round pick and something to pay attention to with WR's. Gettleman does value route running very highly.

I was gonna let it play out cause I'm bored, but I couldn't go through with it. Lol

Seriously though, why Alghor over Dorsett?

Phillip Dorsett is a speedy guy, but Im not sold on him as an NFL caliber receiver. His speed makes him a 2nd round projection but it wont make him any bigger. If we were just looking for somebody fast, I'd much rather have Breshard Perriman. Size + speed + questionable route running is better than speed + no size + questionable route running + less reliable hands.

I know that people think of Steve Smith as a small guy... but Steve Smith was not small. He was just short. Steve Smith was stout with a powerful lower body, quick and explosive. Smitty's leg strength allowed him to make some explosive leaps and he powered through alot of arm tackles. He had had strong quick hands and would literally fight anybody on the field. Steve Smith was just a special guy.

Im getting emotional just thinking about it.

That's kind of a tough sell.

I mean, nobody's mistaken me for Brad Pitt recently

(Sean Astin, maybe)

Sorry bro. Brad Pitt was drafted by African Americans in 2000 Racial draft.

His performance is Fight Club was THAT good.

    • My thoughts on Carolina's post-season run: Obviously, the season began with a below average Freddie Andersen and everyone hoping Kochetkov would pick up the slack, until he got hurt. Enter Brandon Bussi who had a made-for-TV movie type run until the end of the season, when he came crashing back to earth, his save % drops under .900 and the team needs to score 5-6 goals to win games. Freddie has shown signs of a resurgence and Bussi looked pretty good the last 2 games of the season, but both sample sizes are small and questions abound for all 3 goalies. The physicality of playoff hockey will take its toll. Save for a few players, the Canes best players are small, their top 2 lines are small and there's no getting around that. The only way to protect the size disadvantage is a strong forecheck. Allowing opposing teams to establish the offensive zone and create board battles with smaller players will hurt Carolina. The Stankoven line could be a difference-maker. If they continue to play well against lower defensive pairs, it only adds to the depth of the team.  The Aho line had stretches of absenteeism during the season. The Canes cannot afford to have them dry up offensively and leave the scoring to Ehlers and the Stankoven line. If they aren't performing well, teams will simply roll their best lines out on the Canes best playing lines.  If the Canes can get by Ottawa and get some help from Boston against Buffalo, I think they have a legit shot to make the finals. Make no mistake, I think their toughest challenges are Ottawa and Buffalo in the East.
    • Melo apologized and said he had been hit on the head and didn't know where he was at.
    • Him crying like a bitch when melo finally got to the foul line and play had to be paused was a horrible look for him. Should have T'd him up. They got every call all night outside Ball's dirty play and you could argue Bam was about to step on Melos wrist when that happened too and it was more a get off me swipe then I'm trying to trip you. Bam sold it too because that's what the pussy ass heat players are taught to do and then they cry when it doesn't work
