49er player suggests Harbaugh might be 'clinically insane'

The man is nuts for sure.

I do, however, like his response when Michigan was going to not play American Sniper because of its insensitivy to Arabs.

"Michigan Football will watch "American Sniper"! Proud of Chris Kyle & Proud to be an American & if that offends anybody then so be it!"

He is a great college coach

Fixed.

His sample size in the NFL is still too small to definitively judge. That's especially true when you factor in the amount of player dissent he generated.

A lot of folks question whether Harbaugh could have had sustained success in the NFL. In that sense, he's been compared to Jon Gruden (i.e. won early with a ready made roster and went downhill from there).

i have always believed that he is the type motivator that i could put into any organization, regardless of industry, and make a quick and dynamic turnaround in a short amount of time. i don't care about his football accumen. you surround him with people/coaches/managers who know their poo and he can get them to the top quickly.

one of the things that i liked was that his pedal was floored all of the time in every game. he just didn't let up and that's what i wanted and still want from rivera.

what i didn't take into consideration was the fact that apparently that pedal is stuck. i didn't take into consideration the long term effects of his personality and drive on people.

i would still hire him, but i would so it for a short 2-3 year term and then bring in someone who could maintain rather than constantly push people to the extreme for years and years.

Good take.

As mentioned, that's why he works so much better as a college coach than in the pros.
