There's only two games on the schedule I'm pretty damn sure Carolina will lose and thats @Seattle and vs. Green Bay.  After that the Panthers should be able to win every game and I'm going 14-2 because fug it we're due a baller season.

I do not like the ominous shape that your Prediction made. That's bad juju right there

Well, first I will focus on definite patterns. Rivera always gets off to a slow start prior to the BYE. Rivera always gets out coached against the Seahawks and Packers. The Panthers will lose to a team they were suppose to beat outside of division games (Vikings 2014/2011; Bills 2013; Chiefs 2012) . The Panthers will lose at least 2 division games. Rivera loses home openers, games before the BYE and games following the BYE. Rivera gets blown out in prime time when he faces playoff caliber teams 0-4 in the last 4 and 1-5 overall with the one Monday night win against the Patriots. Panthers finish strong to try and save Rivera's job. I believe a majority of fans would agree with these patterns.

So, following those patterns let's begin.

@ JAC L
vs HOU W
vs NO W
@ TB L
BYE
@ SEA L
vs PHI L Prime time
vs IND L Prime time
vs GB L
@ TEN W
vs WAS W
@ DAL L Prime time and revenge game for ex-player (double whammie)
@ NO L
vs ATL W
@ NYG W
@ ATL W
vs TB W

I can see the Panthers based on their players and talent getting 11 wins, but factor in the coaching and patterns and I see an 8-8 season. That is about right for a Rivera led team with talent. Let's hope the coaches buck those 4 year trends, or the division is so horrible again that the Panthers get the division title with 8 wins.

@ JAC - W - please dont fug this up Rivera, cause it will be a long season if you do

vs HOU - W- Watt will give us problems, but that offense should be no problem

vs NO - W- gonna take them awhile to get used to not having Graham

@ TB - W we own Tampa

BYE

@ SEA - L - no shot

vs PHI - W - no mccoy, no maclin. Possibly sanchez at QB

vs IND - L - we dont have the horses to match their offense

vs GB - L - terrible matchup for us

@ TEN - W - titans will pick #1 next season

vs WAS - W - we win despite our crowd being half skins fans

@ DAL - L - ron coaching on thanksgiving is a nightmare waiting to happen

@ NO - W - saints have mailed it in at this point

vs ATL - W - a game we should definitely win

@ NYG - W - toss up, but ill give us the benefit

@ ATL - L - our annual WTF game

vs TB - W - sweep to close out the season going into the playoffs

11-5, division champ, 3 seed behind GB and SEA

    • If he really wants to be here, that can happen.  It's totally up to him.  Yes, he'll have to take a hometown discount to do it.  He'll have to show that the last two seasons were outliers and he hasn't become an injury risk. It will come down to money and how much of it he wants.  If he wants to be paid at the upper end of the scale, it won't and can't happen here.  When healthy, he deserves that kind of pay and if he wants it someone else will pay it. It can totally happen.  And it's totally in his court.
    • He was on the "sideline" during OTA or mini camp, Im sure there was some Twitter/X post but news just moves so fast now.  He's not getting the press as TMac or even Horn, but he is making plays. That's the other deal, Im a big fan of his!  Just in order to get great value you need to give value in return. I said he would have been a 3rd rounder in 2025 draft, he just had bad luck with injuries hurting his stock and coming out in a deep WR class.
    • I've always said that PFF is a tool. If you don't know how to use it, or don't want to know how to use it, then it's useless. But some people actually do know how to use it---which is why it still exists and is used by all 32 NFL teams---and part of this is putting it all within context----seeing the bigger picture. If you don't understand that not all players, develop at the same rate, have different levels of talent, have injuries that affect their play, and face different circumstances in regards to the opposition and coaching, for example, then I don't know what to tell you. Coaches set expectations based upon a variety of things, not only last year's stat sheet, which may have been brought about by dynamics that you, as a fan, may or may not understand. And even if you have some understanding of them, as a fan, you still will never have the clarity that they do---the concerns or the context that they do. As a fan, you should even be putting your lack of understanding their context, into context (and stop trying to act like you know something to be true based upon a bad season at the end of the day).
