Dan Morgan promoted to director of pro personel for the Seahawks

Recommended Posts

I can't remember the specifics but I think people said mean things to him about his unsuccessful pizza joints, and they way he played football.

The guy played at full speed every play, practice or game day. It's a shame that he had his career cut short with us. Seemed like an overall good guy, glad he has found success.

On that note fug Seattle.

Well, he spelled the name of his restaurant wrong (simple typo, probably) and then genius huddlers decided it would be a good idea to crack some concussion jokes.

phillyb did something assholish too, but i can't remember what it was

Yes.  He wasn't a free agent.  But he did blow up on the Eagles the year afterward, so there's that.

I actually went back and read some of old Dan Morgan's threads from when he posted here.  Glad he landed on his feet after the failed pizza restaurant.

how do you find them?

Ate at Cheese Mo'z a couple of times.  It was fantastic.  Made a perfect follow up to that year's Fan Fest. I'd happily have eaten there often had it stayed open.

The Vick thing didn't go over too well.  Then when Vick went to Philly, Reid's offense made him look better than he was (like it does with every quarterback that plays for him) but even with that going for him he couldn't stay healthy.  Given that we now have a franchise QB who's been durable so far and just signed a five year extension, I'd say we did the right thing.

Morgan more recently riled the Huddle by saying that Bobby Wagner was better than Luke Kuechly, Though given who his employer is, it's kinda hard to think he'd say otherwise.

Miss that pizza.  I have to say I'm happy that he is doing well.  It looks like he has found success after football (and pizza).

Yep...was great pizza.

I would stop in his place at least once a week for pizza and beer.  He bought me a shot prob 50% of the time.

So do I.  Always visited CheezMoes when I came to town.  Got to speak with Dan on many of occasion. He was a very likable individual.

Was he on the Huddle? What ran him off?

Dan was probably one of the first players to actually, openly, be part of the Huddle.  People gave him a hard time because they didn't believe it was him.  I don't think that ran him off.  He just had bigger things to do.  I wish he was still around here.  Many people didn't like him, but I found him to be a very pleasing person.  Of course I didn't have a lot of contact with him except at the pizza place.

Man I miss cheez mo'z, it's never coming back.

What was the correct spelling of the pizza place?  I remember CheezMoes, but I have seen it spelled many other ways.  What difference does it make?  I can't remember how to spell my own name sometimes.

Morgan is kind of an ass so I don't really care that much for him. Especially since he works for the enemy now.

Apparently you never met the guy.  He was very nice and personable....nowhere near the ass that you called him.

    • Saw this show up in my new feed. Nice to see a couple of our rookies making it into the top 5 so far, even if it is a pff measure... From https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-top-15-rookies-week-9-2025 ... 4. TE Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers (78.7) Evans struggled in the Panthers’ tight win over the Packers, finishing with a 41.8 PFF overall grade — third worst among tight ends this week. He was not targeted in the game and played only one snap in pass protection. He did log 15 run-blocking snaps, and although he earned a 68.9 PFF run-blocking grade in zone looks (seven snaps), his 39.0 mark in gap schemes (second worst for the week) dragged him down to a 46.6 PFF run-blocking grade overall — sixth worst for the week. Despite seeing zero targets over his past two games, Evans still leads the Carolina tight end group with a 74.3 PFF receiving grade. He has caught all nine of his targets for 90 yards, six first downs and two touchdowns. Evans also leads the Panthers’ tight end group in PFF run-blocking grade (72.2). He has recorded a 20.5% positive play rate across 175 snaps.  5. WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers (78.6) McMillan had a better day against the Packers, recording four catches for 46 yards. Most of that production came in the first quarter via two 16-yard catches — one of which he snatched from Carrington Valentine’s hands, who was in perfect position to break up the pass. McMillan accounted for three first downs on the day, although Green Bay was able to limit his impact after the catch, holding him to 0.8 yards after the catch per reception. McMillan now has 41 catches for 558 yards — a top-15 mark. He is also tied for second with 19 explosive gains of 15-plus yards. Three of McMillan’s catches against the Packers came between the numbers, bringing him to 22 for 318 yards and 19 first downs (tied for second most) this season. He owns a 26.1% threat rate and a 76.6 PFF receiving grade between the numbers. He also ranks in the top 10 in explosive gains (10) and yards after the catch per reception (5.5) within that area of the field.
    • At least we don't need to hear overreacting about towels ...
    • Actually there is, try being a Charlotte Hornets fan. I mean the team fuging moved at its peak and hasn't recovered since and that was 25 years ago
